10,000+ people playing on Steam. Many more playing on console. Looks like the same few people who have yet figured out how to do a few of the workarounds completely.
Not saying it's right! Not saying we should be forced to figuring this out and doing it! Not blaming HAGS. Just saying that some of the player base is not the majority.
That has worked for several folks, and for others it hasn't but it may be worth to give it a try. It is not the greatest fix but it seems to help folks trying to run HL.
Disable HAGS.
Restart your PC.
Launch the game.
At character select go to settings.
Disable Ray Tracing.
Here's the step people miss - Run the benchmark.
Go back to character select, try to enter the game again.
Hello
I don't have the best system for this game here.
I7-6700K 32 Gb Ram an Asus OG-STRIX-RTX2080TI-O11G-WHITE-GAMING. Latest Nvidia graphics card driver Asus Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard. Monitor 1920 x 1080 Windows 10 latest version
But I have to say that after the update I played for over 10 hours without any crashes.
However, I also used the GeForce Experience specifications.
Yes it doesn't always look perfect but no crashes. Not one.
Could it be that some players are demanding a little too much from their systems, computers and graphics cards?
You can try it with GeForce Experience.
And then put it on high.
In this sense
Gerold
The below steps fixed this crashing issue for me. It has not crashed once since I made these changes, and I am still playing on all ultra settings including raytracing. Hopefully it fixes yours. Even if you don't have a 4070 give it a try anyway. Can't hurt.
Step 1 - In Hogwarts Legacy, in the Display Options screen, turn OFF Frame Generation. Close Hogwarts Legacy.
Step 2 - Disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) in Windows. To do this, in Windows 11 (I assume it is similar for Windows 10) Go to: Settings --> System --> Display --> Graphics --> "Change default graphic settings" --> Toggle off the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling --> Restart your computer
Start up Hogwarts Legacy and keep your fingers crossed.
Devs don't care abt their game. its been a whole month since people are having issues in this game to which devs didn't even responded officially. Yeah not everyone is facing this problem but still a major chunk of community mostly people who are on newer builds are facing.
No, it is not.
Maybe it doesn´t work for everyone, but turning off HAGS got me from crashing every 5 minutes to no crash at all during my last two play sessions.
That´s on a 4070Ti.
Well I haven't had a single crash since disabling HAGS, so it DOES work for some of us.
So what can I do... don`t want to delete
