Mod not loading, or infinite loading
I selected the desired mod, clicked to download, and when a percentage finished loading the mod didn't appear in the collection in the save. The mod resets and asks to download again. I've tried with other mods, other saves, I've already installed the game again, nothing worked.

That's what happened to me, the only thing that helped me solve it was uninstalling Steam, but now it won't let me open a game with mods, it's very poorly optimized:steamfacepalm:

I did that too, but it doesn't open the game with mod, just the normal save.

I'm having the same issues, with it not loading at all not even showing a percentage. i wonder if there is a setting you need to turn on or off...

I unistalled game and re-installed and it seemed to resolve the issue may be worth a try
also had this same issue, first with mods not installing/updating and now i cant launch a modded save.

Same here, but also can't login at all into in-game to use *mods.

*Not nexus mods

Edit: Disabled/uninstalled all mods, loaded unmodded save, and now I also cannot access menus for Inventory, Quest and others. No matter what i press to open, Gear, Inventory or Map, it always just opening Main Menu settings... Even on new char. Amazing..

Fix for me was moving the game install folder to another harddrive. Then i uninstalled all the mods i had and reinstalled them. I also made sure to delete anything left over in the mods folder before reinstalling mods in game.

for the game to load I found the solution: go to your mods folder (first uninstall all the mods you have directly in the game, put them in favorites so you don't lose them) and in the folder, delete everything, I know it sounds crazy but that really worked for me, and I just found maybe the reason why the game sometimes doesn't load when you install a mod and it's because maybe you downloaded a game that modifies the game mode (you unlock all the spells, add spells, skip some part of the game, etc ...) because when you download these games maybe the game doesn't process it too well at first and this causes the game not to load, when downloading mods that modify the appearance of both the MC and the characters this does not happen, but if you want to download mods that modify the game, you will have to do this every time, I know, it's tedious, but I hope it helps

Sorry, just to clarify, does delete everything means deleting every single folder on the Hogwarts Legacy's folder?

only your mods folder, be careful, do not delete the mods folder, only what is inside it

I did this, and still the infinity loading screen for me. Guess I just have to put up with playing without mods. Although, the moments I spent playing with mods (when they're still working before I updated a mod and restarted the game) for the past 2 weeks was wonderfully fun. Thanks for the answer though :'D

Don't worry, I understand your annoyance. This problem is happening to me again even though I do what is recommended. The game is just terribly poorly optimized and we have to wait for them to fix this optimization problem with the mods.
