Please allow 3rd party mods
I had to delete the game because of the annoyance every time I entered the game, a notice board appeared that there were unofficial mods and forced me to delete the mod or delete the game.
this is WB's brutal coercion of the players.
especially the mods system in the game is really poor, and has too many problems,
it's better for WB to do like FALLOUT 4.

It's honestly shameful when the cracked version of the game becomes more appealing in general by not having to deal with rolling back the game version, if I wasn't already outside of the steam refund date window I would have gotten it.

Hopefully WB is working on a fix for broken mod support...
I think the adult xxx mods were what made them switch to their own integrated mods which broke all the 3rd party mods that affect things like that.
unfortunately they ran into a common issue with the third party mods; some sickos decided to make very inappropriate ones for what is a children's game. Unclear if it was just too difficult to monitor them and remove all the bad ones or if they just got lazy but it did become a real problem for a while.

my favorite unofficial mods be killed by WB.
and MC is gone, so sad.
I want it to be restored quickly.
What are the mods that are missing?

(The only thing that interested me was NG+ type mods. They all got ported to CurseForge.)

Anyone to confirm that even official (in-game) mods, disabling achievements? I know we can roll back game version, but i see some nice game improvements/fixes with latest patch.

I can confirm, to enable any mod with the latest update you are forced to load a "modded save" and when doing so the game warns you all achievements will be disabled.

When rolling back to the 2024 version you can play with achievements enabled regardless of how many mods you install, that's what I'm doing now since I doubt they will ever fix compatibility with 3rd party mods or even enable achievements for that matter.

You will miss on ray reconstruction by playing the 2024 version, but honestly this game is better without raytracing since it is mainly used for reflections/shadows and they are overdone, performance impact isn't worth it. DLSS transformer model can still be enabled through the nvidia app.

It's worth a shot if you plan to play with mods, otherwise if you really need the updated version then its better to ignore all mods.

So some people decided to mod there ->Single player game <- with mods that would be deleted on Nexus mods anyway and WB decides to make it everyones problem ...even thought ,again, that it is a Single Player game.
Yeah i blame WB for that.
