So I can't use nexus mods right?
I'm a little fuzzy on this but nexus mods are broken and have been for awhile? Are they forcing you to use their in house modding with the pair your account to a WB account? just curious if this is the only way to use mods now

guess mods need a update and if not and it controlled by them.. oof poor lads that use all the naked mods probably gonna be unhappy xD i hope we can still add mods otherwise they probably ban certain mods for whatever reason

You can lock your game version prior to 1/30 and still use Nexus Mod while blocking updates.

You can also revert to older version through the download depo.

As for being a mod developer, there are in-game instructions on how to join and upload official (approved) mods.

I downloaded that and it works. I only installed it to make note of all my character creation choices since it allows you to review and change those choices.

But the game will not allow me to uninstall it. And I cannot delete saved games with the in-game menu... I have to use Windows Explorer to navigate and delete manually.

Mm well it requires the Blueprint Apparate Modloader and when I click the button to open this the game crashes instantly while the mod is installed

It seems it legit blocks the mods. Nexus even had to make an announcement on how to reverse it

The one from CurseForge via the in-game interface works fine, but the process isn't all that intuitive. Gotta "Play mods", get the mod, "Play with Mods", copy a save, turn on the mod for that save, resume the save, and when reloading later, gotta "Play mods", then "Play with mods" to find the modded save... all because I apparently chose the wrong wand shape and color somehow waaaaay back near the start of the game. (I don't want the student to have one that looks like the Elder Wand, and it really started to bug me after many hours.)

The one from CurseForge conflicts with the one from Nexus but the CurseForge one has no dependencies.

I got it to work by verifying the game after I installed the mods. It still takes forever to load though...

Yeah. There's a second build cache with loading any mod that changes/adds/removes "materials" (as UE calls them) when loading mods through the game interface. The second one always builds from scratch and can cause the base-game's initial one to rebuild rather than verify upon the next start of the game. (The CurseForge Character Editor has all the thumbnails embedded in it. That counts as a change of materials.)
No, some things work. Like most sound mods, reshade, etc. Anything that's added to ~mods is broken.
Still using Nexus mods. Goblet mods, ui mods, Immersive mods. Better Vivarium Mods and no issues so far. The Hogwarts Mod merger needs an update and as announced Mods that change Faces, Clothes etc can cause a crash. But the more complex modpacks do not cause an issie on my devices with the newest patch. I will stick with Nexus

Thats not true. You can use the mod folder as before. Just mods that change clothes etc are not working anymore. Immersive mods like better npcs, emotes with all npcs, vivarium curvew mods are still working
