Cant strart a new game from the MOD section

I installed a few mods from the new addition, but whatever I try and no matter how many / little mods I actually activate for a new save, I am not able to start a new game. The first time I had a black screen and got stuck with nothing and now, even if I press enter / space to start the game . . nothing happens. Like. Just nothing? I cant start it without mods, with mods, during the main menu or the mod extension - simply no new game for me. Anyone had the same issues or is this game just unplayable atm?

Same for me. Wanted to play with the in-game mods for the first time and when i want to start the game nothing happens. No crash, no message, just nothing.

my game wont start at all after activating mods so i cant even deactivate them

same. seems like others are experiencing this as well. sucks because some of the mods look really promising but the game is basically bricked. and along with other issues it seems like we are in dire need of some hot fix or something from the devs to fix whatever problem is causing this.
