16gb of ram, is not enough.
The game requirements. Are misleading. I have 16gb of ram, and this game peaks it at 100% moments after opening the game. And it eventually crashes every time.

This game requires more ram to run. They need to update the spec requirements in the Steam store. Because this is extremely misleading people. The game easily went over 10gb of ram usage just loading the shaders. And I have yet to actually get in the game after buying it.

Really needs to be updated to reflect the actual requirements of the game, because its absolutely wrong. 16gb isnt even enough ram to get into the game past the menus. Event viewer showed it crashed because it ran out of ram. Not vram, ram. The game requires more than 16gb to even run.

I never looked it up, but I've checked now and it's using 10gb ingame for me. 6-7gb during the shader screen. I'm using the version before the latest patch though, so it might be one of the many issues people have after the latest update.

Its possible. The update may have increased the system requirements signifigantly. But I cant even load the game. This latest update seems to have borked the game for many people, and its possible it might be the 16gb of vram being an issue for many many people.

I ordered a 32gb kit, it'll be here tomorrow. If it works fine after that. Then that was most likely the problem.

When playing yesterday, I noticed I'm using as much as 23.5gb of system ram and 10.8gb of the 12gb of my RXT 3080ti vram.
So yes, 16gb ain't enough!

I've completed the entire game on a machine with 16 GB of RAM, but you need to enable at least 32 GB of swapspace.

Dito. Switched from my travel notebook to the high end beast for my first gameplay - the laptop has 16gb RAM and it was never an issue.
Today you need minimum 32 GB RAM. The Tech goes forward, go with it. :)

I don't need 32 GB to play this game or any other game that I own. This is the only game out of many hundreds which would benefit noticeably by having more than 16 GB.
i first played this game on a "gaming laptop" with rather baseline specs. It' came with only 8GB of ram which i upgraded to 16GB so I could play this game. I did have to tinker with the game settings to get it to run well, but that was probably also because my graphics card wasn't awesome as well.

Now I'm playing on a Steam Deck which is also a machine with 16gb of ram with no issues. I can even leave all the graphics settings pumped up to ULtra unlike on my old laptop.

So yeah you can run this game with 16gb of ram.
So to anyone who is having crashing issues with 16gb of ram. Make sure you manually set your pagefile size. Windows only uses 6gb or so if you let it do its thing. Setting it to much more I was able to get the game to fun finally.

However, still no graphics options in the menus. Rip this update i guess XD

Most likely the issue stems from the new 'Datamine your system update' which is the so called Mods update. It's launching a whole bunch of system monitoring tools when you launch the game probably, and their required specs do not take those into account.

I was looking into buying this game, i'm glad now I never did because after this update and the illegal crap they're pulling I definitely won't. The system monitoring tools flag in Anti-Virus software because of how extreme they are.

Im using Bitdefender, pretty much one of the best antivirus softwares. Not a peep from it. It is hovering around 77% or so vram usage in game now.

Thought the game looks absolutely awful, and i cant change the settings in game cause the graphics options are missing completely. Im halfway tempted to refund it, and just play it on xbox since i own it there. I prefer PC, but this kinda thing is what drove me to buying a console in the first place.

Its its not broken, dont fix it. Plain and simple. And if you do things and it breaks the game, roll it back till you get it sorted. Its been a number of days now, and they have said literally nothing online that I can find about the issues with this update. Its really disconcerning considering i preordered just to support them, and even bought the game a 2nd time on another platform.

I feel like i just got taken, big time buying it right after this update dropped not knowing what it was causing.
I just went ahead and refunded it, there is no reason for me to keep a game that doesnt work the day I buy it. Steam forcing auto updates, is going to make Epic games look good by comparison. They actually still have the ability to do that there. Steam needs to bring that feature back, because modding is a thing. And Steam used to be the place to do it.

They used to be the go to place for PC gaming. Now they're kinda turning into something, i want to avoid using because well, if i mod a game. I cant stop them from breaking it. GG's i guess.

It's Denuvo.
The game probably only requires 8-10GB, but you've got to triple that for Denuvo.

Yeah ofc, that's why the game recommends 16GB.

And no, a patch changing requirements so long after release doesn't count as "forward".
Bruv, you need to upgrade. 16 gigs of ram is way out of date for current gaming.
