Urgent Assistance Needed: Game Crashes on Launch After Updating Hogwarts Legacy

I am reaching out for help with a frustrating issue I've encountered with Hogwarts Legacy. After updating the game to the latest version, it crashes immediately upon launching. I was really looking forward to diving back into the magical world, but this problem has halted my adventure.

Here are the details of my system and the steps I've already taken:

Operating System: [Windows 10]

Graphics Card: [ NVIDIA GTX 3070]

RAM: [40GB]


Steps Taken So Far:

Restarted my computer.

Verified the integrity of game files through the game launcher.

Updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version.

Reinstalled the game completely.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, were you able to find a solution? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar issue. I have never downloaded any mod and the day before the update, i was playing the game and right after the update, the game stopped working. Now it crashes on launch.

i had to delete the game and the appdata\local\hogwartslegacy folder, then reinstall for it to work.

Thanks, at least there is a solution, even if it involves going through all that. I'm not really surprised. This game has always been TERRIBLY optimized, with the internet full of FPS drop fixes for it. Serves me right for ignoring user reviews.

there was a NVIDIA driver update at the website and the version is 572.16. Somehow it was not on the software and updating fix the crash issue for me

Thank you for sharing! While updating the driver resolved your issue, my situation seems to be more complicated. I followed the advice and manually installed the latest NVIDIA driver (version 572.16) from the official website, but the game still crashes upon launch.

Verefi the install file on the computer and it may fix it, my steam founf 1 file not working, and not get a Disc write error trying to uppdate that file yet i have 1T left on the hard Drive

idk if it helps: In my case the game (and some other steam games) couldnt sync cloud. this was because the Appdata folder of my user in windows was falsely configured. usually the owner of the AppData folder is the user it belongs to. in my case the owner was the group administators. also the user SYSTEM didnt had explicit access to it. after i changed the owner and added SYSTEM with all rights to it, steam could sync my cloud files again. after this, the game worked again. even had my old savefile.

It's because you're trying to use 3rd Party Mods. The game doesn't support that and you need to delete your ~mods folder.

if you used mods before the mod patch delete all the mods in the "mods " folder, I hope this helps .

tive o mesmo problema tenho mais de 60h de jogo e depois que atualizei eu abro o jogo e ele trava e fecha sozinho paguei caro no jogo pra não poder jogar
