"Norton"
There's your problem right there.

Other than Windows Defender I found Malwarebytes to be the best antivirus, IMO. Unfortunately my sub expired so I just stick with Defender.
Denniss Jan 30 @ 2:41pm
Avast belongs to Norton's parent company so its very likely they use the same Virus signatures and produce the same false posities

3. Abrir el juego y listo.

I worked as a retail computer repairer and consultant for decades. Norton is rubbish, and their business practices scummy. Fair chance it's the cause of your troubles, although I would recommend scanning with something else BEFORE you uninstall it just in case.

It's your choice at the end of the day, but Norton has had a bad record for about 20 years, and been scamming customers for like 10+ years.
Jinxxie Jan 30 @ 9:10pm
got the same from bit defender
Everybody is blaiming my VS Norton but fact of the mather is that "General Discussions" is flooded with simulair messages from others players with a variety of problems after this "upgrade".
I blaim Avalanche Software for creating a piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just to earn a few extra bux from the mods they implemented. (I saw the introduction on Twitch and they totaly disreguarded anyone that had reservations and hailing the moddrs that brought stuff to the game that they should have implemented themself).

Bottom line is Avalanche Software has detroyed the game by neglecting the basic foundations of the game when giving the modders absolute and total freedom. (handing the game to the players? My @ss)
By handing the game to the modders they have opend the door to all sorts of scammers that are smelling a change to infect user systems without anyone having actual control over what has been implemented.

To prove my point on the illegal activitys deployed by the new "patch" just read this post:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/990080/discussions/0/599643178892562658/

Game is dead for me so I uninstall it.

Game removed
Okay my entire game has been removed by my security features due to it being corrupted?? It says it's a virus threat so now i can't even open the game. NOT OKAY GUYS NOT OKAY.
meda Jan 31 @ 7:17am
use normal av maybe?
A lot of Antimalware software out there is junk. Many of them throw false flags to show they're doing something while legitimate threats just walk on by.

In Windows, simply using a Standard User account with Windows' own Security is far, far better than any antimalware under an administrator account. One might be surprised how just browsing through sites that seem "safe" can have something slip through unnoticed if logged in as an admin regardless of the antimalware.

Yes. There are rootkit anticheats that require elevated permissions to activate. Core Isolation makes rootkits much more difficult. So, I don't play those. Anticheat needs to learn how to innovate rather than use exploits and blame the OS for closing those exploits.

Ubisoft launcher usually wants to elevate permissions, but if it's not updating itself, it can be safely denied and the singleplayer games will still run just fine.

WTF update?
What the heck was in that update?? After downloading Avast went crazy and message sayed there was a virus in the game that was quarantined and after that game stop working completely.. like.. dude..
