HELP!!! game won't start after playing for a week. HogswartLegacy.exe missing I think

I tried to start the game 15 minutes ago. There was some king of update. Now I get error message "C;\programfiles(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\HogwartsLegacy\phoenix\binaries\win64\hogwartslegacy.exe"
createprocess() returned 2

Same here. Updated today and got this error. Hope my saves are fine, but this update is extremely buggy...

This is ridiculous. I'm not going to go through this again. Is there a way to turn off automatic updates. The game was just fine the way it was

Does it say disk write error an did you anti virus say Hogswartlegacy.exe has a virus?

Yeah tried playing today after the update, I got maybe 30 minutes to playing before it crashed. Now Im stuck at loading shaders and tried all the fixes online. Something about this mod update definitely broke the startup portion. Reinstalling and running as admin didn't work. Deleting mod folder didn't work. Was running perfectly before this update.

Disk write error. Don´t have norton and none of my AV programs tells me there is a virus on the exe file. I´m trying to reinstall game now after having repaired the library. I hope it help. if not then I won´t install the game until they fix this issue since it seems to be one of the new files that make the game fail. :( makes me a sad panda

Make sure the game is not running in the background. If it is - kill it.

Go to ‘C:\Users<your-user>\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved’ and delete everything except for the ‘SaveGames’ folder (if you have it)

Next go to ‘C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy’ and delete everything except for the ‘NotAllowedUnattendedBugReports’ file

Start the game and it should take some time to properly prepare the shader cache for real this time and let you in
try this every update you have to delete the shader

Got the same issue. I ran a validate files now it is a disk write error all because of one file that didn't validate. This game runs poorly on my pc I have a Ryzen 7 MSi Geforce rtx 3050 that lets me play Cyberpunk really well but this game stutters even on low settings.

Probably false positive virus. The file has been deleted or moved to quarantine. I had false positive with Norton

its Norton flying a false flag for the hogwartslegceyexe. file with the update its in the quarantine section of Norton but they wont let you restore it

This is ridiculous. The game was working great until the update. I probably need to try and uninstall and reinstall. Anything I need to backup besides savedgames.
How can I turn off automatic installs
