Now just watch as a large portion of mods featured on Nexus never come to WB's Mod Server because making the female characters more attractive with makeup/clothing/body mods is against their rules.

Yeah ♥♥♥♥ these morons. There is an older, cracked version which should work with old mods. I regret paying money for this game.

There will always be nude mods.

I'm not talking about nude mods, nor do I desire such a thing. I'm talking about all the existing mods to the faces, clothing, and body shape of female characters for enhanced custom characters and NPCs.
The update breaks all 3rd party mods and forces the game to crash on detection. Seems like they pushed out this update to force the use of a proprietary mod manager that only allows mods that meet WB approval. And the EULA prohibits the use of mods that aren't approved by their mod manager.

Ironic enough using mods prior to this update the mods themselves took up way less space.

As an example the Female reshape mod should only be 18mb but through the manager this update introduced it's 250ish MB. Very unnecessary.

Not only that you have to go through an additional menu to load up a modded save as opposed to just loading your regular save file.

I'm curious if some of the more popular cosmetic/makeup mods will be added but if not then that's going to upset some people.
I'd imagine those mods WILL work once updated for the new version. Now that the official dev tools are out they might even get better mods over on Nexus.

Ok that sucks. I was planning to replay the game with the mods that add a curfew and classes etc.

Hopefully someone will find a way around that restriction soon and it's just a version update that needs to be done.

I mean, it's good that they want to support modding, but why do it in this narrow idiotic way? BG3 showed you last year that you can have the in-game browser for mods for those that prefer it AND allow third party mods.

Dude, exact same here... I'm pissed, and even after deleting my mods my game still crashes...

even playing the game and selecting their mods section and agreeing to terms crashes the game and makes it unplayable

So just to be clear, if anyone has tried the new tool.

Can we export the mod out of the tool (to upload it elsewhere), or we can't, and have to upload directly to cursedforge?

Paid money for a premium nexus account to be able to mod the game and now they've done this. I'm so annoyed and my character looks so ugly now.

the patchnotes were just updated on the WB website:

"Due to changes to both data serialization and upgrades to our Raytracing features in the Hogwarts Legacy engine, level code changes were made that will break all 3rd Party MODs that use skeletal mesh assets made before the upcoming MODs patch."

hopefully this means mods will be working again soon once updated

It's an old game with a small fanbase, most modders have moved on to other projects.

I have a skin and eye mod from nexus that seems to work in game but messes up the mod prompts on menu
