Game Pulling Local Saves from....not AppData?
My daughter likes to play this game on her own Microsoft account (still using my copy/Steam). However, we've noticed that when she plays on my Microsoft login, it syncs correctly with the Cloud and saves at the %AppData% location, but NOT when she logs in on her own account. I've tried uninstalling and redownloading/reinstalling the game, after deleting the AppData folder, and it still is pulling saves from somewhere I can't find, even with the Saved Game folder empty. Any clue where else the game might stash save files locally?

It sounds like a tricky situation, but here's what might be happening and how you can fix it:

Possible Issue:
When your daughter plays on her own Microsoft account, the save files might be tied to a different Windows user directory or the Steam Cloud is syncing incorrectly. Games like Hogwarts Legacy often save data in specific directories based on the user's account and may not properly handle multiple Windows accounts unless set up correctly.

Steps to Investigate and Fix:
Double-Check Save File Locations:
The default save location for Hogwarts Legacy is usually:
C:\Users\[Your Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames
If your daughter logs in on her own Microsoft account, her Windows Username changes, which means the game may look in a different directory for her saves.
Log in with her account and check:
C:\Users\[Her Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames
team Cloud Sync Settings:

Ensure Steam Cloud sync is enabled for Hogwarts Legacy by checking:
Library → Right-click on Hogwarts Legacy → Properties → General → Enable Steam Cloud synchronization.
If Steam is pulling the wrong save, try disabling Cloud Sync temporarily to isolate the issue.
Backup & Replace Saves Manually:

Copy the save files from your %AppData% location into her corresponding folder (found in Step 1).
Test to see if the game now reads her saves correctly.
Check for User Permissions:
Sometimes games may not have the correct permissions to read/write saves under a different Windows account. To fix this:

Right-click the game's executable (usually found in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy).
Go to Properties → Compatibility → Check Run this program as administrator.
Reinstall for Her User Account:

Fully uninstall Hogwarts Legacy from Steam, delete any remnants in both users' AppData folders, and reinstall while logged into her Microsoft account.
Check for Cross-Account Confusion:
If she's sharing your Steam account, it might mix up save files. Consider setting up a family share on Steam:

Go to Steam Settings → Family → Enable Family Library Sharing and add her Windows account.
