2. More "flavour" spells to play with outside of combat (levitation, spells to play pranks on NPCs, etc) for fun sandbox gameplay.
3. Deeper relationships with your friends/other students that is sort of similar to that of Persona series.
4. Deeper classroom mechanics as they were cool in this game, I just want it expanded and have more depth.
I understand Hogwarts is a magic castle and it can rearrange itself or whatever, but I'm QUITE SURE I don't want to explore the same world all over again. Hopefully the game will let you go places outside Hogwarts Valley and surroundings, or better yet: take us to a whole new wizarding school, like Beauxbatons or such. Be ambitious and I'm going to buy buy BUY! You can't really tell but I bought THREE COPIES, so you know your fans have faith in your products (no they weren't faulty copies that I foolishly paid out of pocket to replace. They were for people whom I decided unilaterally they ABSOLUTELY NEEDED to see them, whether they liked it or not).
Thinking about it, playing as an exchange student of sorts makes plenty of sense. Students in this game are talking about it all the time, so as a concept it exists in-universe. Or maybe I just want my guy to be German or wherever Durmstrang is.
Got beef with your ALL-ORIGINAL NPCs not being canonically English speakers? There's another English-speaking wizard school across the pond. It's been done before. And lo: this game is localized in like 50 different languages, so clearly not everyone played it in its original 19th century Scottish dialect. And the books were in darn-tootin' LATIN!
Uagadou is established now. Why not have a field trip over in good ol' Africa? Tie in a bit of continuity with an encounter with Professor Natty Onai, or someone else from that bloodline from wherever in the spacetime continuum the new game is set. Seems to me like a good opportunity to teach the player to be an Animagus.
Wait, Animagus? Guess wut dat means! Turn into a wildcat, or a zebra, and any animal you think can sell-ah for-ah extrah moolah through DLC, and there's your (alternate) land mount! Same for your favorite bird as a flying mount. Ka-tching!
Diagon Alley seems like a no-brainer set-piece to throw in there, or any number of secret wizard communities all over the world.
Putting this here for my good friends in this community: I'm sure Quidditch would be super popular with your players. Bring it on if you have to. I'm not SUPER into it myself, personally, however.
Anyway, I like your idea about visiting another Nation's Wizardry School, it would be really cool if you could visit all of the major schools, but if nothing else, a couple field trips to Uagadou and Ilvermorny would be fun, especially since neither school has ever appeared in any official media before.
Diagon Alley and Quidditch seem like a shoo-in for Hogwarts Legacy 2, seeing as their omission in this game was widely criticized.
Giants! Like, baddies even bigger than trolls! They were a big deal since like the second page after this whole IP started.
I want to fight that monster with the five fist-ended arms that connect to a nexus with a cartoon face on top. Seeing THAT in motion would be a hoot!
Just open the actual Magical Creatures And Where to Find Them and dump anything vaguely dangerous right into the new game. Make the cute ones into pets, mounts or farm animals.
