Honestly I'm starting to think this happens when you experience enough digital entertainment, as I noticed similar things with the Slavic Federation theme music and Frostpunk, and many soundtracks from The Outer Worlds felt very familiar to other things I've heard elsewhere.

I remember Homeworld used Barber's Agnus Dei (which he made from his Adagio for Strings which he made from his II. Molto adagio from String Quartet in B minor).

Only those of us familiar with the music knew it wasn't from Full Metal Jacket (where the Adagio for Strings was used).

(TRIVIA: I found it interesting that most 3-movement works are either minor to harmonic major back to original minor or the opposite, but the original Quartet starts in a minor key, goes a half step down to another minor key (B♭ minor) for the second movement in Molto adagio before going back to B minor.)
