Just a short critique. If anything, the writer does a good job in projecting the delusional nature of gender ideology. Also the word rhetoric was written as much as 16 times. As if the writer is desperately trying to discredit JK Rowling and insinuate that she's somehow divisive. Nay, the divisive are the ones who use self-victimization as a weapon in order to justify themselves. To normal people, anti-trans rhetoric isn't a rhetoric at all. It's common sense. The trans activists attacking JK Rowling for simply having an opinion just shows how insecure their ideology is.
We're Internet people and coming up with new words too fast for meatspace to follow is our deal, so let's get on that. You can propose your own but for now I'll start with these: Black knights? Knights in tarnished armor? Knightwads?
No, I don't even buy chocolate that isn't fair trade and I have an app that tells me what brands are more ethical in practice. Although this is not a foolproof 100% method, I always do what I can.
I'm fully aware of white worshiping mentality among some Asians and I often speak out against it. I can criticize both sides of the coin. I'm dating a white man myself so it's not that I'm against interracial relationships. It's the fact that Cho Chang sounds like a racial slur and her character has no depth other than her Asian identity. She was paired with the white male lead despite having nothing in common and no chemistry. It's very token diversity relationship.
I fantasize about Guts from Berserk.
I don't use Twitter.
I love Jessie Gender. I am subscribed to her and watch pretty much all her videos since she has more nuanced and in depth takes. I think she made a great point with this too. Thanks for sharing.
I'm not even an American so I doubt I'm in any echo chamber. I have a pretty diverse group of friends.
I do not have strong opinions about BMWF because I'm neither.
You think all Asians are Chinese or something?
I can't tell of these profiles are Chinese or not, since most of them don't specify location or ethnicity, but i'm sure quite a few are, also, does that also take account for migrants coming to china and having kids there, possibly naming them Cho, would that person not be chinese?
I've struggled with gender dysphoria in my life, and as a result, I've met some very not nice people who, occasionally, would write a certain derogatory term all over my homework assignments when I wasn't looking. I've been beat up by males who chastise me for not falling into their brand of toxic masculinity. And it sucks. There's really no two ways about it. But that's on them. That's on those individuals, and the choices that they made.
All J.Ks done is stir the pot with some transphobic remarks. She's not advocating violence against our community, or persuading others to string us up by our heels, and beat on us with a rusty chain. She can think what she wants, sure. We all have our own views. But as long as you stick to basic human decency and don't use those views to demonize others or rain violence on them...Then what's the problem aside from someone having a few different views than you?
I grew up with Harry Potter.. I love Harry Potter. My gay friends love Harry Potter. My trans friends love Harry Potter. We watched all of the movies together in a single day. I'm buying Hogwarts Legacy, because I love Harry Potter and I love magic. Whether or not the royalties go to J.K Rowling, what do I care? H.P Lovecraft was a huge racist, but I still enjoy his stories and his lore. Don't let art be tainted by the artist. Don't let fiction be tainted by non-fiction. That's why it's fiction! It's escapism.
I fully intend on being a witch of the dark arts who does some not very pleasant things to get ahead..
What point are you even trying to make? I have a western name despite being Chinese ethnically. That doesn't make my western name Chinese origin. Some Chinese people possibly having the name Cho doesn't make the name of Chinese origin.
don't feed the troll who clearly has no idea. If it was such a problem there would be a huge uproar, especially in China, the largest market in asia, who can be easily offended and outright ban media like books and movies unless companies like Disney bend their knees and conform to the demands to change aspects in the media for release approval.
