Q: Can players make in-game purchases in Hogwarts Legacy?
A: Players with the Hogwarts Legacy Standard Edition can purchase the Dark Arts Pack in-game separately, which is otherwise available exclusively in the Deluxe Edition. There are no other items for purchase in the game.
next time search it up as its already been said why they have that tag
Wait this is what everyone is complaining about lol? This is so damn reassuring thank glob there is finally a modern AAA game that isn't going to be nickel and diming us constantly.
That's reassuring somewhat though the fact that in game shop exists means they probably plan to add some more content to it over time. Hopefully it's fairly priced.
For real. It’s just odd seeing that tag for 1 in-game product.
It's unlikely to stay as just one. They'll probably release some smaller DLCs through the store over time. It's also probably what's used for the PS5 exclusive content.
It's just an ingame way to buy the DLC you could otherwise get on the Steam store page.
It's weird, but it's not the microtransactions most people think of.
The store page already says "In app purchases" and this is made by the same devs who already sold orcs in lootboxes for Shadow of War.
If you expect this to be an honest game, I expect you to be disappointed.
The Evil West store page lists a separate skin-pack as DLC but it does NOT have the "in app purchases" listing. If the store page says "in app purchases", the game IS going to have microtransactions.
Nuff said.
You are WRONG. Avalanche made Shadow of War and that game sold orcs in lootboxes AND had a terrible, grindfest ending to push you into buying those. It might have been Warner Bros that pushed them to do that but Avalanche did it and there is no reason to believe that they will do any better this time around given that they are STILL taking orders from Warner Bros.
Both are under WB as publisher.
Oh excuse me. Avalanche is a SUBSIDIARY of the company that sells lootboxes in single-player games. I'm sure that THIS game which ALREADY lists "in app purchases" as a feature and belongs to the SAME company will be fine though...
I agree that WB is a scummy publisher. The devs of Shadow of War clearly didn't want those microtransactions either.
Thanks! I'm glad to see that someone gets it!
I just bought the definitive edition (GOG) for dirt cheap. Do these loot box “goodies” come with that? Or am I simply out of luck because of some marketing ♥♥♥♥-up?
