No controller rumble on PC with Xbox Elite Series 2

For me sometimes the vibration works and sometimes it doesn't, it used to work all the time, Idk what changed. rumble is on for me on both the game and Steam settings.

Rumble works with this controller in every other game I've tried, just not this one. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Have you tried resetting the controller, and checked the firmware is upto date. (5.22.16.0)

I just tried two series 2 controllers and they both work as expected.

Press and hold the Pair button on your controller for 6 seconds until the LED light starts flashing.
Wait for 2-3 minutes for the reset process to complete

Think the game is just buggy. Same thing happened to me two days ago. Rumble had been working perfectly for over 50 hours in game, then suddenly stopped. Wasn't my Xbox One controller as it was still fine with other games. It eventually started working again after a couple of reboots. No idea what caused it.

I have the latest version of the controller drivers installed.

Have you verified your game files on Steam?

After over two weeks of testing, the controller vibrations are still working without any problems. I uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it, and disabled SteamInput. I hope this helps someone.
