No wand gameplay>
Is there a specialization that doesnt require a wand? I like harry potter in general the lore is cool even though clearly aimed at children but nonetheless it is quite well thought out. But one thing I hate is the wands. In the movies, it looks so stupid seeing what are supposed to be the best wizards to have ever lived to fight with little wood sticks.
So I wonder if there is a way to play the game without wands. Like an alchemist throwing potions at enemies or even just using hands alone to cast spells.

Although in the Wizarding World wandless magic does exist and is even mentioned in the game, spells are always cast using the wand. You could fight using plants only, but the puzzles cannot be solved without the wand.

yeah plant build is OP but you won't be casting any spells without a wand

Side note: Wands aren't just little wood sticks. The power of the wand itself comes from its core - dragon heartstring, unicorn hair, or phoenix feather. Also, you get to customize your wand's appearance and details in this game, if that helps.

There are several encounters that require using your wand so NO, you can't avoid using them. As noted, you can reduce the amount you use them using combat plants, but even on easy mode you probably will need to back that up with some wand work.

There may be a mod that would fix that, but not aware of any. Seems remote that someone would create a mod to avoid a major aspect of the game.
