Yup , had to disable EyeInfinity , then I could proceed and do the character setup . After that re enabled the 3 screens and we were good to go . Plays just fine in my native EyeInfinity resolution . No problems after about a short 30 minute run .
I am running any game that supports it in 7680x1440 and only have an AMD 5800X3D.
The GPU matters most here, not the CPU. Any X3D CPU from AMD would be highly beneficial but you could even use a 5600X or an Intel 12700k.
Well that's boldly ignoring the many topics in just the past couple months about performance issues, isn't it? There was no optimization patch to change the results people got a year ago, either. There are numerous topics about it, really.
Just like the "$3000 PC" guy I quote below, you're using an exceptionally high-end CPU there likely paired with a very high-end GPU. That shouldn't be necessary for stable frames. That thing hits 6ghz with Turbo...
Why should you need a $3000 PC to play a game? The game should be able to optimize to play on mid-range PCs at least. Even cranking down the settings, I still don't get stable frames in this game and I own a $2000 mid-high PC that handles everything else I've thrown at it much better than Hogwarts Legacy.
There truly does seem to be some kind of issue with the optimization for many people but these topics always end up getting one of two responses: Dismissive, passive aggression or disappointed, reticent agreement.
I don't know why it's so hard to say "It runs fine for my beastly PC, but I do see a lot of complaints about the optimization so there's likely something valid about the poor optimization people are on about."
Sure... continue being dismissive of the issue.

Obviously not everyone has the exact same hardware or the exact same problems, but there is a pretty clear trend here. My experience has been that I struggle to get stable frames that has only been second to Jedi Survivor (another notoriously badly optimized game). But y'know, glad it works well for you and your nephew.
I have proven several times via video with Afterburner Overlay that the game runs just fine with the current patch level. The prerequisites are a clean and up-to-date Windows 11, patched drivers and a vanilla installation of the game. No crazy "fixes" necessary, nothing to switch off or anything.
