This particular game has a hard time cooperating with video cards. this was the fix last time i tried. good luck.
Try turning off Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows 11. Go to Settings - System - Display - Graphics - Change Default Graphics Settings. Turn off Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling and restart your computer. Note: This WILL disable frame generation but it seems to stop the crashes
also if that doesnt work, try this
"This appears to be a known issue with alot of Unreal Games. The solution for me was to disable shader caching. To do so navigate to your appdata:
Win+R
enter %appdata%
navigate out of Roaming
and go into Local/Hogwarts Legacy/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor
Open GameUserSettings.ini with your prefered editor or similar (its treated as a .txt file)
Scroll down to [ShaderPipelineCache.CacheFile]
beneath it, add r.ShaderPipelineCache.Enabled = 0
should look like this
\[ShaderPipelineCache.CacheFile\]
LastOpened=Phoenix
r.ShaderPipelineCache.Enabled = 0
save"
Right-click Hogwarts Legacy in Steam library > Manage > browse local files. A new window will open with game files, and navigate to Phoenix > Binaries > Win64. Right-click the HogwartsLegacy.exe executable file.
Go to Properties - under the Compatibility Tab > (check) disable Fullscreen Optimizations - make sure Run This Program As Administrator is turned off (unchecked)
It has something to do with game shaders but I dont know anything else other than it works for me now after I disabled Fullscreen Optimizations.
SOLVED!!!!!!!! The new update was seen as a virus by the antivirus. I created an exception of the Steam folder that contains the game.
