From what I have read the only other thing you can do, which is what I did, until Avast updates their codes or Hogwarts Legacy fixes it on their end or reports the issue to Avast is to make the file HogwartsLegacy.exe an exception for Avast Behavior Shield when the alert pops up. Or you can do it manually by opening Avast and going to the menu - settings - exceptions, and then list the file path/URL. Once the file is made an exception the game will start up fine.
However, apparently the game has also been having stability issues since the new update came out, and has been crashing on occasion. The developers will have to fix that issue with a new update/hot-fix.
I saw someone else make this comment about the same issue only with a different game and the developer responded with the reason why.

"Yup, false positive. Unless we decided to stuff the game with malware and I didn't get the memo :D
Lately, we had some issues with Norton as well. Antiviruses often mistake in-game optimizations for malware code, that's why Steam advises disabling scanners when playing.
Thank you for reporting this, we will contact avast and report this (if you have an option in your client to report false positive please do so as well). "
Just add Malwarebytes plugin (or Norton safe web) to your web browser, and you are good.
Thank you so much!!!
Your Welcome!
Crazy
Because they like installing rootkits and Government Approved™ spyware for their "security."
Facetiousness aside, something you must realize from being exposed to the internet is that the level of tech literacy for the average end user is only a step or two above banging two rocks together to produce pointier rocks.
Yes, I have the same problem with Norton 360 right now! It's deleting the .exe file.
