New Update - no new items bug?
Got a popup in the game menu telling me that i had new cosmetics from the last update, but they don't appear in game. Are we supposed to do something specific to get them?

I have them. The only things i had to unlock, was the trader cosmetics and i get them after the quest.

Do you both use mods?

Yes, I use mods, but they only apply to clothes and other cosmetic stuff, but i don't see a broom on the seller, and also the ghost store is closed. I don't know if it could be because my game is fully completed

Move your mods outside of your game folder for now, to play the mission. Add them back in afterwards to have all your toys back.
I did that and the new content appeared.
There is a mod merger on the nexus mods website that someone has made, so my guess is theres a major file clash, and mods will always over-write their designated 'slots' for data (so to speak) and to put it really simple, the new update needed one of those slots, but the mod overrides it.

Can't say if the mod merger method works, as I've opted to just remove all the toys for now so I can play the game without mod-bugs.

Even if the mods are just cosmetic. Its not about mod type, and about what 'slot' the mod sits in, within the game code.

I'm so happy, that someone can wrote, what i can't, because english is not my native language. I have so much trouble to desribe such things.
Ok, my character looks like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monkey, but removing mods helped, thanks)

Thank you ! I was able to do the quest and now have both the shop and my mods back. Potion & cosmetics did not survive the mods but i chose vanity over them. :')
