Out of video memory on 4090, really?
Anyone has had that bug? How do I fix it? I checked integrity of the game, reacquired one file. Still have the error. Don't know how to fix this.

I have the same problem since i updated the video driver.

I also have this video card and the game stutters and out of memory in the castle. The optimization is a joke

Out of memory on a 24GB card? That’s crazy lol! I’m chugging along on my 8gb 4070 laptop GPU. Never had that error although I haven’t played since the latest driver update…

I've played most of the way through the game twice with a 4090 and at native 4K max settings with RT or with DLSS on quality plus frame gen I've never gotten close to running out of VRAM lol uses around 12.5GB at most in both scenarios in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade and averages around 11GB overall

I was just saying lol if this guys running out of vRAM on a 4090 either he has some dead vRAM chips or the latest driver broke something coz the game hasn’t been patched in months. I have had many issues with this game (though never a vRAM issue…even on my 8gb card). My issues were mostly crashes but I fixed that by turning off hardware accelerated GPU scheduling (for this game only)…and stuttering which I greatly improved by switching from hybrid mode to dGPU, deleting that Norton trash, and switching to max performance mode on everything. Been a lot better since though I haven’t played since the latest driver update I hope they haven’t broken it again. I was hoping they’d have fixed it in the latest driver update but from what I’m reading apparently not.

4070ti and having the same issue, happens when loading into the game for me. Right as its downloading shaders. I have tried everything in the entire book here are some of the things that people say to do. And when I say ive tried everything I have tried everything.

-disable xmp for ram
-go to 1080p res
-increase virtual memory on windows
-update graphic settings
-launch through geforce
-disable all overclocking
-verify files and redownload
-I have tried over 40 videos and this is only the tip of the iceburg to be honest I forgot the rest, but I have easily tried 10 other solutions. Nothing has worked the game is bugged.

One thing that I have not tried because I dont have another drive is to install it on another drive. For some reason people have been finding results off of this.

It seems that the game is bugged on steam for some users, however it seems as if people have good luck when downloading through epic games.

Best of luck if you end up coming up with a solution that I have not listed please add me

Hi, i´m from Brazil, and we solved this problem here by disabling the Turbo Boost function in Bios. I have an i9 14900 KF and was having issues in about 6 games. Doing this, all problems solved

But now, Im having another problem. I cant run the game because they cant validate my purchase, It looks like they think I have a pirate game, and I bought it. Dont know what to do. I click to play and I receive the message from codefusion "Currently your game purchase cannot be re-validated successfully, please wait 24 hours and try again."

sounds like Denuvo thinks you're on a different PC. Have you just recently changed your hardware or installed and played on a different PC? Denuvo only allows a certain number of "hardware configuration changes" in a specific period of time for a given game license

And yeah, modern Intel CPUs and Unreal 4 don't play well together. Undervolting and overclocking (even just having Turbo Boost enabled at stock settings) can lead to instability in UE4 games and even the Unreal Engine editor.

Yeah man, I had to take my computer to the store where I assembled it because I was having crashes in about 6 games, an then we had to start Hogwarts Legacy in another computer, but I didnt know about that until now. Will it be normal after 24 hours so?

And about modern intel CPU, I didnt know about that too, until I run some games. But disabling Turbo Boost all games works good. Hope developers and Intel solve this in the future. But I think the 4090 have some incompatibilties too, not only the CPU

I think it should be good after 24 hours, yeah. Denuvo is kind of a pain in the ass with the limited activations it allows in a specific time frame.

I have a 4090 and a Ryzen 7800X3D and haven't had any issues with the game at all but some people have reported some minor problems with 4090s and other CPUs

It's always irritating to see people on the state of the art hardware having "issues" you simply don't encounter on hardware an order of magnitude less performant.

You get less issues on more mainstream hardware. Why? Because there are more ppl owning said hardware than Flagship class products like 4090's. So there is far more effort from devs and product makers to optimise support for the mass audience. Which is where the vast amount of revenue comes from.

Same happened when SLI was a thing.....they did not rush or care to support the less than 1% club. They literally have to go out of their way to put the time in.

The vast majority of people reporting issues with this game have midrange hardware though, and most of them are GPU related crashes from running out of VRAM lol
