The lost Astrolabe

Hello,

I'm trying to do this quest and even though I am right at the marker I don't get the command to dive under to retrieve it. I've tried to save and load the game but makes no different.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

It's in the general area of the marker, not exactly at it. Look for swirling water locations. There should be several, keep trying till you find it.

There should be around a half dozen different dive spots in that area. Each will get you something. One will bring back the Astrolabe. They look like a lighter colored swirl on the surface, and when you get close enough, you will have the option to dive.

I noticed today that if you are in "combat mode" where you have raised an alarm with some enemy critter or NPC, you won't be able to dive even if you are at the right spot.

Solution, move away until the combat music goes away and try again.
