A big nono is the bad performance this game has, like most UE4 do. And my system is fairly beefy.
Is see no reason why this game should have GOTY. Like, at all.
Its time we tear down these game journalists.
But when the journalists have 90% of the vote and the players only have 10%, and the journalists were going out of their way to try and get this game to fail leading up to its launch then it is unfortunate but this game never had a chance.
The Game of the Year awards are driven by political idealogues and this game is something those people would never touch.
Ah well, this game still will sell better and have more hours played by gamers than any other game on the nominee list....with the exception of BG3 because that game is still in the top most played lists.
We don't need to tear them down, just ignore them. Heck, it looks like Kotaku might be next on the chopping block after Jezebel was shut down and they're owned by the same company. Venture capital has run out for the gaming journalists websites and if they can't get the views from gamers, and they can't since they alienated all of us, well they are on a timer.
2023 is effectively the slow death of gaming journalism.
Which in turn devalues every other award at the show. If the journalists will snub a game for reasons outside the game then they will vote for and prop up other games for reasons that have nothing to do with the games either.
There is no controversy tho. She did nothing wrong.
It was suspicious that Hogwarts Legacy was not mentioned anywhere. And while I think BG3 awards were well-deserved, there is that smelly smell...
This game is so standart, you could mistake it for a Ubisoft title. That's no hate tho, i actually liked HL. But im not delusional enough to think that it is in the same ball park like BG3.
Oh yeah the thing ! With the mechanic who put the character into the plot for better plotting the thingy.
There are like 30 categories you know? You must be delusional if you pretend that it wasn't blacklisted.
