Animal feeders not working properly?
I put one feeder in every Vivarium but the only one that works correctly is the one in the mountains. When I enter there, all animals are already fed and I only have to brush them. If I enter any of the other biomes all animals are hungry and will then slowly waddle towards the feeder, which makes it completely useless. Is there a trick how this has to be placed to work properly?

Hmm... mine does the same thing now that you mention it. Maybe we need to reposition the feeders? Mine, where they are having to go to the feeder when I come in, is kind of against a "wall" and by the door. The one that works is at least a bit further into the area.

how can you tell if they are hungry or not? when i go in they seem to be curious about me-seems like they are (ALIVE).

They've always acted like that, for me, since pre-order early play version. The only time they're "fed" when I enter is if I re-enter before the timer runs down on how long they're full/petted for.

Never bothered me...some of them walk to the feeder, some walk towards me and I feed/pet them ... when done with those, the ones that used the feeder start walking over.

The feeder only has room for ... six of them? at a time and you can only have one placed, so if your room is full it won't feed all of them at once, without a waiting period, anyway.

This is false. One vivarium has all animals already fed when you walk in. The other two don't.

While not a major problem, it is an inconsistency and one is a bug either way. Either it's working as intended to have them all fed when you go in or it's working as intended to have them walk up to get fed when you go in. But having it be inconsistent across vivarium is a bug.

Hit R1, or it's PC equivalent, when in the Vivarium and it'll bring up the list of Beasts in there. They will have gray status boxes or green status boxes for if they've been fed and groomed.

Excuse me, but it is not false ... for me. Did you not see that part? Every time I enter, that's what happens ... for me. All of my vivariums.

I cannot tell you if I have had a bug this entire time, through two, three or whatever it has been patches. I will agree inconsistency sounds like one behavior is a bug. But I also do not know if's related to feeder placement. My feeders are placed in rather random spots in each one, although in two I think they're placed sort of against a "wall" while in the others they are more in the middle of a space (animals could walk "behind" them). Edit: I also have not decorated them, outside of feeder and breeder station.

This topic, isn't about, you.

It's about this specific issue. SO if it doesn't apply to you, I'm not sure what the point of your post was.

Because your experience that you were describing contradicted TCs and my bug we're experiencing I read it as a you being confrontational over the issue. And I responded in kind.

So yes, it's false. Your story doesn't mean it doesn't happen and the TC still needs help figuring out what is causing what we are experiencing. You don't seem to need help with it and you don't seem to have an offer of help. So other than being contradictory, what was the point of your reply?

So, have you seen too many of those "it's not the game, it's your rig" type responses and are over sensitive to ppl just sharing their own experiences now? If the TC wants to castigate me for being rude, let them do it themselves. ;p

At any rate, I was not being confrontational at all, nor did I say anywhere in my post that I thought the TC (or you) was lying about their experience or something, I was only relating my experience as a comparison. I *should* have said I don't know which behavior is the possible aberrant one, in my first post, tho.

From my experience and all the gameplay I've seen so far, I think they are supposed to walk to the feeder upon your arrival. Some will walk to you since it only feeds a limited amount, and then the ones who were fed by the feeder will join the group that came to you. That's what they've done for me at least. And that goes for each and every vivarium.

If anything, the bug is that they are, for some reason, already fed with the green icon and all, even though you don't recall feeding them. Perhaps it's a tiny slip in memory, and you forgot that they were already fed. Who knows?

Whichever it is, it will probably be fixed.

For me, I don't think it's a slip in memory. For proof I would point out that they are fed with a full green box and not groomed. Which, I never do.

Nah, it's been that way for over 10 collection cycles.

Now I've waited inside the vivarium to observe what happens once they go hungry. From that moment forward they also spawn hungry and only feed once I enter. This has been for the last 3 cycles. It appears the instant feed was a bug.
