Can't complete "The Man Behind the Moons" quest

So, I have actually completed this quest, I got all 3 Alohomora spells. However, for some reason the quest itself seems to be stuck, it says I have to wait to hear back from Galdwin and that the rewards are Alohomora I and II which I already have. He is gone and I can't interact with him either. This is the last quest I have left to do so I would love some help here.

This must be broken. I have been looking all over for Moon and I finally found the math door and the niche where the demiguise is supposed to be but the vault is looted, not by me and the statue is gone in the niche.
I went through the secret package to the candy shop when I got the quest item I used fast travel back never did see the npc to unlock lock-picking

You should explore more. You will get an OWL after sometime.

have you gone to galdwin's quarter's yet?, i have 29 demiguises all together, plus alohomora 3.when i went to see him, the achievement unlocked for me, by surprise, and i did not know i had it. check your achievement list.

There are two additional quest steps after you get Alohomora-3. You have to find the man who placed the moons. He will be in Hogsmeade. There will be another followup later which completes the quest.

right, forgot about the guy in hogsmede.

You will only get an OWL to continue the quest after you've continued the main story line.

Not true,. I idled my game for 3 hours and it came up

ROFL at myself !! Ha ha on me. I have been building xp and getting spells unlocked I have not done the first trial which changes the season . Geez Louise ha ha I should have known
