Stuck on Percival Rackham trial glitch…

I am stuck at the very end of the Percival Rackhams trial. I’ve seen others stuck there but no fixes found via ppl who have been in the same boat.

Right after the boss, there is a memory to watch via the percival found in the next room. For some reason the waypoint doesn’t update for me after defeating the boss and is stuck in his room, and not at the the percival. Interacting with the percival removes in the interact button but doesn’t trigger the cutscene. I am able to go back to the map room after that, but can’t do anything afterwards. Can’t fast travel, leave the room, interact with anything… soft locking me in.

Reloading auto saves doesn’t fix the issue for me.

This glitch seems to have become far more common (it has existed since the game launched) after the most recent patch. I am having the same issue and unfortunately based on my own experience and what I'm reading online, there is no workaround for this glitch anymore, and it is truly game breaking due to the recent patch.

However, I have seen one recent mention of someone saying it has to do with the way the recent patch interacts with mods, and they were able to fix this glitch by removing their mods (temporarily) and completing the quest and then adding back their mods. I have not had the time to try this yet personally, but can confirm I am using a few simple (mostly cosmetic) mods. I would implore you to try this option as currently, without another patch fixing this issue all of us affected will have to simply shelf the game.

Please let us know if this works for you so everyone else online can be saved from this horrible bug!

No. Nothing that I could imagine works. I play with 2 mods. Legins and Avada Kedavra. Have problem with that mission. I deleted mods. Still don't work. Then i start to use save (befor mission/ befor BOS/in mission). Also tryed to finish other missions and go again to this Trial. Nothink don't helps. Loocking all loots at this mission - same results. I finished mission (mean BOSS fight) like 6 time. NOTHINK don't help.
I understand bugs at game. But bug when you can move at main compani is f**k up.

I updated my comment earlier today as this bug has now been given some attention by WB, but we still need as many people as possible to go there (link below) and upvote and say they are having the same issue so it can be addressed ASAP. If you have the time, commenting and listing the glitch as a "5" Reproducibility score should also help - this means the bug happens every time, NO MATTER WHAT which should help get the devs attention, especially considering this is a MSQ.

This is happening to me! I HAVE tried to take out all of my mods and redo the last fight, but nothing.

The only thing I have found that let me progress through the first trial was to roll back to the previous update prior to the May patch. I just finished the trial and am now able to proceed with the story line.

Let us know if you run into other issues with the following trials, specially the CGI cutsenes since that seems to be when this bug triggers.

I´m thinking mods that change the database and stay on your save might be the culprit, at this point it might be better to stick with purely cosmetic mods, except unlock mods.

Yep. I have this issue as well. And it's been days, shouldn't it be fixed quicker? I tried everything from reinstalling the game to starting a brand new character. I can't get past this bug.

I learned how to roll back to the previous update by watching a couple of Youtube videos. The one I found the most helpful was by the creator BenchMarKing and is titled "Hogwarts Legacy | Roll back to the previous Update | Ray Tracing Fix | Ascendio Mod" I watched, paused after each step, did as he instructed and then watch the next step, paused, etc. It's not a quick fix as the download he tells you how to get does take time. However, it's much quicker than waiting for the devs to fix this bug. I spent one evening after work doing the roll back and was able to play through Percivals Trial the next evening to see if it worked. I figured it would as the rollback also fixed the Dedalian keys going missing. I have put in Dedalian keys incrementally three times now and it's working properly. It's worth noting that if you started a new character AFTER the May patch, it will not be compatible with the roll back. You'll need to create a new character. While this is not ideal, it's still faster than waiting on the devs for an update. BONUS: I didn't have to delete or temporarily remove my mods.

I tried the roll back and everything seemed fine. 5 hours later at the trial I get the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug!? wtf?

I'm having the same issue. It's very frustrating. Even deleted my game and redownloaded it with no mods. I'm still getting the bug. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet.

I downloaded the last patch - 1 day. Then I copied the main folder with the game, and replaced it. As mentioned above, this patch does not load characters or saves that were made after May. Started a new game (no mods) and everything is ok. Spent another 1 evening and passed this damned mission. I rolled back to the current patch (rolled up mods).
While the flight is normal.

I have the same problem, incredibly frustrating. 20 hours in (been doing a lot of exploring and side quests) and completely stuck at this point.
