I think you're right, unfortunately.
I've been thinking the same.

Raytracing has been kinda jank for me since last patch so I was kinda waiting until next patch to play again, but I'm still waiting

Doubt it, they made a huge profit.

If they like money, they'd be mad not to make a DLC.

Single player game can't die. Multiplayer can.

Same way Finnish product can't be abandoned.

how is the performance bad lmao, the only issue is the stuttering when opening doors in hogwarts

It's single player and it already have plenty of content. The performance is not bad, at least in my case, maybe upgrade your PC?

I expect that they are making improvements and optimizations to the engine for the console launch - that's where you can do so safely - and after the launch those same improvements - or at least the relevant ones - will also come to the PC. That's when you'll see a big performance patch. It will break a few things - of course - and there will be a patch to fix it, probably. I think that's why it's a bit quiet right now.

About new DLC, there's conflicting reports. I think it's important to note that on launch, the devs said they had no immediate plans for any DLC, they were focused on getting things out the door.

At the same time, WB said they are really happy with the game's reception and intend to see the game grow in the future with both sequels and DLC's. That was an investor report, and you can take that to the bank.

That suggests two things:
No DLC was in production at launch. That means that if there's any DLC, it will have to go through a full production cycle - that means a LONG wait. However, WB's announcement suggests this will happen. Be patient.

I think so as well. There's nothing to do in Hogwarts except killing enemies. I already achieved 100% completion.

They are already hiring people for an un announced AAA game
Dokami May 1, 2023 @ 12:27pm

As far as I know, the last gen console version is still scheduled for release this Friday, so I expect to start seeing some updates for the PC before much longer. Maybe even Friday (??).
