Why has NO ONE talked about the Pensive Guardian's flail attack?

It LOOKS like you can do something to counter it or reverse or stop it, but I've tried a lot of things and nothing works on it, even though you can CLEARLY target the flail. It's such a stupid attack that is hard to dodge. The fight would be MUCH more interesting if you could interact with it like it very much seems you should be able to. It seems like no one even knows this attack exists... I haven't seen a single mention of it much less anyone who knows how to counter it. I want to do something cool rather than just mindlessly and easily kill him if I just dodge and nuke him. You should be able to disarm it or shoot it back into his face like the troll clubs.

I think you need to be directly under the flail and parry it before it hits ground., if you let it hit ground then nothing will stop it. Never tried myself sins i beat with out ever trying to block it.

One thing I tried that I thought would be cool was freeze him right before the flail hits the ground then push it into his face. I became a nice pancake.

There's three tiers of these pensive guardians. Which one are we talking about?

The small ones that spawn like an army around medium size ones?
The medium sized ones?
Or the boss large ones?

I haven't had trouble with any of their attacks. Not all attacks have a counter. Sometimes you just need to dodge or not be in the circle. The large boss has that circle when they're stunned, you just gotta run out of it.

Ah, I didn't have trouble dodging that at all.
