Why do the slytherins in this game not feel like they are slytherins?
I am currently reading the books again, and they didnt catch their feeling at all. No talking about blood purity, no real rivalry with griffindor or any other house, no evil characters at all. They sound more like griffindors than slytherins.

It is intended so no feelings get hurt in this game.

That basically hinders the story and world of their own game. A good story cant be told without controversial elements. Even less if those elements were established in the source material. I doubt people would have complained if it was a bit more like the books.

Because the only SLytherins you meet in the books is about 7 or so racist blood purists, who Harry hates. The books are from Harry's perspective, and Harry is biased and hates Slytherin, so we never see any but the ones he hates

We never see the rest of the Slytherin students, who are probably normal kids just trying to study

For me at least, i'm glad they made Slytherins normal kids and not evil racist little monsters. I never bought the story that EVERY slytherin is evil, and EVERY slytherin is a racist blood purist.

Honestly, if every single slytherin really IS a racist little evil monster, then the school would be better at expelling anyone the very moment they were sorted into Slytherin, or just putting them to death entirely since they're so irredeemable. Having one house always evil is a dumb plot device i never liked from the books

So you are suggesting that Hogwarts should kill children, right?

Not in the slightest, i'm pointing out how stupid it is to expect every single Slytherin to be a evil little racist

If every single slytherin is a evil little racist who is guaranteed to grow up to become a serial killer, you'd think Hogwarts would do something about it like expel them immediately or outright remove Slytherin as a House

I've never been convinced all slytherins are evil, despite what Harry might think and believe in the books. Most of them are probably normal kids just trying to pass their exams and not caring about the petty rivalry between Slytherin and Gryffindor

Children are unable to fully understand concepts such as racism and the consequences of their actions. I remember back when I was in school and if you would expell the kids that said hatefull and offensive things the school would be empty in less than a week. The slytherins are often described in general in the books, and they share similar traits (as does every house). Also lets not forget that Slytherin was founded by Salazar Slytherin on the basis of blood purity, which is why the concept runs so deeply in the house, and not only that, the concept runs deep within wizzarding society, which makes it unlikely that there isnt a single blood purist in the entire house in the game, just people who openly disagree with the concept. But this isnt the only problem, there is no real rivalry between the houses.

So again, you suggest to kill children or expel those humans you dont agree with?

Sebastian is a Slytherin, and he's not exactly sugar-n-spice nice. In particular, the quest where you get Crucio by visiting a secret Slytherin room shows that Salazar Slytherin wasn't so nice either. And if you keep going, you'll find out that Sebastian is willing to Avada Kedavra his own relatives.

Imelda who you need to beat in the broomstick races makes fun of every other house and of you unless and until you start beating her times.

The Slytherin you come across are far more than what little was shown in the books. The only thing you really know a lot of is mostly Griffindor. Barely anything in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. Remember Harry was suppose to be Slytherin as well. And his personality doesn't meet the copy and paste version of Slytherin.
I've come across students making fun of Muggles and Muggle born who are not Slytherin, as well as heard a Howler of a Mother yelling at her son (Not Slytherin) for making friends with a Muggle born student. These kind of 'traits' are not limited to only Slytherin.
The Slytherins that I met in game are a mix of, eager for power, over achievers, wanting nothing but the best, untrusting towards others and harsh.

Game is set 100 years before the books. In the books, some of the Slytherins are children of Death Eaters. Death Eaters don't even exist yet in this game.

It's in there, though you have to look for it. There's scripted events all over the castle. In one case, a couple of slytherins were bullying a muggleborn and set his books on fire (or something like that).

There's definitely blood purists and house rivalries among the students, though its simply not as exaggerated as in the Harry Potter series because there was no Voldemort to unite under back then.

Snape was a Slytherin and he's possibly the most important good character in the whole series as of his role as double agent.
He even secretly cares for Harry.

Horace Slughorn was either a Slytherin.
Even though he accidently gave away crucial info about darkest black magic to Tom Riddle, he is either considered a good guy.

When he is a double-agent, he is not a real slytherin.

Is it true that Harry was supposed to be a Slytherin but begged the hat to be put into Gryffindor?

Basically yes, even though the scene isn't that harsh at all:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4K2F_OALPQ

In Chambers of Secrets, Harry meets the sorting hat once more in the headmasters office and asks him, if he actually got sorted correctly.
The sorting hat then tells him, that it was a difficult choice and Slytherin would have been a good match.
Harry then once more tells the hat, that it's wrong.

Yet this conversation shows, that the hat in fact wanted to sort Harry into Slytherin and only Harry's personal decision was taken into account.
And as of telling the hat that Slytherin would have been wrong, he possibly never regretted that decision and was happy to be in Gryffindor.

I think this conversation ultimately strengthend Harry's believe about the house he was in, which allowed him to draw the Sword of Gryffindor out of the hat later on in the same movie.
Not sure about the book though, but I guess it's far more detailed there.
