How much VRAM do you need?
How much VRAM do you need to run this game on MEDIUM or HIGH settings at 1440p resolution?

I am not looking for everything MAX / Ultra graphics, just Medium to High settings will be sufficient for me.

I couldn't go to High until I went to 12GB VRAM, and also couldn't go to Ultra without 32GB RAM. But maybe Medium it's possible with a 4GB video card, just be sure that you have enough RAM as well, not only VRAM. But I don't know if it's like that for everyone. I guess it's still awfully optimized or not at all.

4GB VRAM, 16GB RAM. Game is running fine on a mix of high, medium and low settings (textures and materials set to high, sky and fog low, everything else medium). Sometimes I see some stuttering, but that's pretty rare.

Latest patch has screwed things up, but that's affecting even much more powerful setups than mine.

No issue or crashes, only small stutters. Don't know what you have on you system that cause masive game problems...

AMD RYZEN 5 5600X
GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO
DDR4 16GB RAM 3200MHz cl16 HYPERX LED
MSI NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti

Playing on ULTRA with RTX

OP has a 4gb vram card (prob a 1650 super or 1060 ti if i had to guess)

dog....... sit down roflmao the fact you even have ANY stutters on a 4060 shows its actually you that has something causing problems. a 4060 can easily run this game on high at 80fps consistently.

as for OP, i have ryzen 5 3600x, 1650 super 4gb vram as well, 16gb ram, and tomahawk b450 max mobo. I have nothing but problems with the game myself but i also dont have a working SSD anymore which could be a major culprit as running games on a hard drive will naturally make them more slow especially if theyre constantly reading and rendering stuff in background like HL does.

so answer: yes you can run it, but expect a lot of performance issues and do not even THINK about 60+fps if you cap it you probably can get away with 45 consistantly which honestly isnt as bad as people pretend it is. upgrade ur gpu in the near future, our 4gb vram will be relics of the past anymore soon. id recommend at least 12gb vram these days but 16+ will future proof you (nvidia too expensive in this regard i recommend an AMD though they do struggle with ray tracing)

i have hp envy x360, 1tb & around 600gb free and 32 gb ram. AMD ryzen 4700 serious and amd ryzen graphics card. I am confused as to why it only lets me play on low. I cant play medium or it bugs out and crashed my whole computer.
