Did the devs die, or did the game die?

No DLC, no extra missions, nothing, nada, zip.
What happened? did the game really do that bad or does the devs not care anymore?

Game is single player so no it didn't die.

Developers are working on a new game so no they didn't die.

Sure dlc, extra missions would be fun but not every game needs them. Maybe one day we get that one playstation mission.

It got new content atleast, new roles/jobs, etc.

That game is obviously not being continued cause it's centuries old, they came out with DLC's and extra missions, so you tried it.

However the thing is that you say that if game haven't receive anything new for months that makes it a dead game, centuries old? obviously a dead game.

The truth however is that single player game can't die, online features inside of it can die but single player can be play when ever you want.

From my understanding, the devs main area of concern at this time is getting it ported over to the Switch which is the last console to see it. Once that has been completed, if we don’t see anything new released within 3 months time after that, then I would think it’s pretty safe to assume the base game itself will not be seeing anymore new content at that point. Right now is way too soon to say it’s dead though.

i haven't completed the game far from it so i wouldn't know if it has DLC i'm still in the castle i don't play it often but its not bad.

That's exactly what that means. "Dead" doesn't mean 'No longer works'. it mean its no longer receiving Live update.. which it isn't.

In what realm of reality does it matter if a single-player game is constantly updated, and even more so, if it's dead or not? It's a complete game, barring updates to fix bugs, oh noes, no new content, the travesty.

Rdr2 did not recieve single player content, just rdo (online). And thats fine, not all games need more content or dlc, just a full game day one and better for us. Not dead, just finished. Thanks god we still getting full games

SINGLE-player games never die because it is SINGLE-player, The game can only die if you the SOLO player stops playing the game.
