BUG Cannot finish flying class quest *SOLVED*

Everett Clopton refuses to land in the courtyard after saying we should hand in our brooms. He is close but then disappears and flies around in a circle. I cannot dismount myself. Resetting and replaying the quest doesn't change much. If you have any ideas, please share. It's a main quest so I cannot leave it even if I would be willing to finish the rest of the game without a broom.

Did he fly around the castle and you followed him? Like all the way around swooping over bridges etc.

If he did and won't land then I guess its a nasty bug. Load an earlier save and see if that cleans it up, good luck.

Had the same problem. change the difficulty to story mode. run the race ..when finished choose not to rerun the race. i then got the complete and not long after i was given the stage 3 broom. change back to hard mode be a man grrrrr. :)

I tried doing that but sadly didn't work for me :(

Yep, also tried following Nrg117's advice, but the dude flew away again. I also tried other saves.

I managed to finally 'fix it'. There is ony one way to do this before the devs patch it up. You need to find the exact spot over the broom rack where Everett disappears instead of landing and put your character up there to block his path. The broom rack is near madam Kogawa. When Everett flies into you you the game somehow started working for me, he stopped flying in circles and I could finally dismount. Good luck.

I tried this and let him run into me 10 times and it still didn't work. :'(

someone needs to fix this, I really want to continue with my game from this quest!!
