Merlin's trial - cannot use mallowsweet leaves

I came across the Merlin's Trial and found that I cannot use the Mallowsweet Leaves on it to activate it. Anyone else experienced it? Trial is located in north part of North Hogwarts Region

That has happened to me when I was targeted by an enemy, killing the enemy ( I think it was a spider) fixed it

You certain it isn't already activated? I came across one I had already activated but didn't know how to solve the first time, initially I thought it was bugged lol.

Otherwise if there's no enemies around maybe try rolling back to a slightly earlier autosave, most bugs I've experienced are solved pretty quick that way.

for haven's sake, yes it WAS activated already, can't remember doing it though :D

ya if you active one and come back 2 weeks or a few seasons later it's still activated.
