How many demiguise statues to get alohomora level 3?

Also if anyone has collected them all do you ever find out who made all of them? I really think the quest is kinda stupid I mean how is putting a monkey statue in a room in a locked house on the other side of the country supposed to trigger this teacher's demiguise phobia exactly???

22, i think, 9 for alohamora 2 and 13 for alohamora 3.

And yes you do find out who made them. Right after getting Alohomora III more or less.

First poster is correct, 22. Technically 24 because you have to collect 2 for the first phase of the spell. 9 for the 2nd and 13 for the third. As I recall you really don't need to go all the way across the map to earn them. Between collecting all of them in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade I only needed to visit a couple close by hamlets to complete the quest. The rest of the demiguise statues are just there as an extra collectible that really has no meaning.

I think it was 22 you need. 9 for level 2 and 13 for level 3. There are a lot more than that in the game so it's not a problem finding enough.
