You're kinda wrong. Drinking a unicorn blood can make someone dying restore his life, but the price is a "half life" (no, not the game). Nothing with lycanthropy, otterwise Voldy would be half-snake half-wolf...

It reminds me of the old Ultima series in that regard. Only a virgin could approach a unicorn. If (in game) you had sex prior to encountering it, the only Unicorn in Ultima 7 would just run from you, and you'd never be able to interact or communicate with it.
