Question for lore expert regarding Unicorn

I wonder is there any lore reason why we cant ride an Unicorn? I been wondering why dev dont make Unicorn ridable considering we have land mount in this game.. Thanks.

Well I am no expert on the lore of HP but I did read something about being cursed from drinking the blood of the unicorn which causes lycanthropy (the disease known to turn people into Werewolf) I don't think they let you do that either though I find it a shame, I'm all for the riding of them as well but sure would love to catch lycanthropy.

In terms of lore, I think it's just that unicorns won't let people ride them. In the books, only girls can approach them and even then it does not feel like they can be tamed.

so i guess no hope for my hufflepuff girl to galloping around on an unicorn huh.... too bad, she even have a wand that look like unicorn horn with an unicorn hair core =D

Pretty much that, you've more chances to ride a centaur than unicorns... And well, centaurs aren't really willing to play horses ... So yeah ...

(Also, there is no pros for a wizard or witch to ride a unicorn)

You're kinda wrong. Drinking a unicorn blood can make someone dying restore his life, but the price is a "half life" (no, not the game). Nothing with lycanthropy, otterwise Voldy would be half-snake half-wolf...

It reminds me of the old Ultima series in that regard. Only a virgin could approach a unicorn. If (in game) you had sex prior to encountering it, the only Unicorn in Ultima 7 would just run from you, and you'd never be able to interact or communicate with it.
