PC Graphics - look like clay models

I have a brand new computer, and have only started playing Hogwarts Legacy yesterday. Almost immediately I noticed the rendering was not fantastic with the graphics. But when i reached the sorting ceremony, everything appeared like clay models with no features at all. I have played around with my computer settings, made sure the game was updated and reinstalled the game but with no change. I understand this has been happening for a while now and is possibly due to an update... Is there anyway to fix it so the game is playable?

Was there any result for that? I've read about it but can't see a solution posted; or whether the devs have acknowledged it and plan to fix it any time soon

I can't even get my game to load anymore since the patch.I also found that if I want the graphics to look better I have to get a higher graphics card from my 1060 3GB card.I also have a 4 K monitor and I can't run the game at 4k.I can't get in the game to change that.Paid $70 for a game I can't even play.Before the patch I could play it even though the people looked terrible.

You're running this game at 4k with a 1060?

You are starving that card of vram hard and generally speaking not equipped for demanding modern games outside of 1080p-medium settings.

Try verifying the files to see if the update fudged up.

unfortunately nothing yet, the new patch broke something for some people, so we gotta wait the dev to fix it.. all you can do is do a bug report to wb games... check the pinned post on how.

I have the exact same, 1060 3gb and have had acceptable performance. Have you tried changing your upscale method? Personally switching it to NVIDIA did wonders for my performance, after that and a simple mod installation I have a consistent 60 fps. Frankly the game even looked better after changing the upscale method, even though I didn't adjust the actual quality at all.

yea, but not at 4k ... lol, i would not believe you that. at 720p yes, maybe 1080p but 4k ... forget that with a 1060

Having a 4k monitor with a 1060? Im sorry but thats like owning a Yacht in the middle of a dessert.
