How do they die? I am quite sure i haven't seen a cutscene that shows fig dying... can someone tell me if i skipped something without wanting it? What happens?

Spoiler!!!!

If you chose to open the repository instead of keeping it closed, then this is considered the evil choice. Fig will die in the rockfall created by the dragon right before the player falls down as well. It is easy to miss. Just a blink of an eye.

This; its one of those "illusions of choice" where the outcome is the same, you just get a nicer death scene for him if you are "good"

WTF?

and if you keep it closed? he lives?

He died in mine but I don't remember it to be honest it was all rather underwhelming. All I remember was the cool sinister face my guy pulled while he sniffed the magical pain glue so to speak. I don't even remember fig dying other than everyone mourning him afterwards.

Other than that my game is still broke and can't be completed and my bug report on the official bug tracker "Expired" apparently so my game is still completely broken and I can't attain level 40.

umm no... well I mean he lasts longer, but he still dies

Oh.

Yeah, i completely missed him dying... and the goblin guy too. I mean, my character would have killed him, but it's not like the death scene was shown, last i saw his dragon form was simply "fainting" and trembling.

Can you tell me what happens if you "keep the vault closed"? How does fig die in that case?

He gets knocked out in the rockslide instead of killed outright, then comes to during a post-fight cutscene to help you keep Hogwarts from collapsing into a giant sinkhole before finally dying and you have a "touching" moment saying goodbye before he's gone for good

"Here professor; it's your wife's wand!"

Thanks. A bit sad... i liked him.

And i disagree on the fact that opening the vault with good intentions is considered "evil"... but well.

I kinda wondered if I'd picked a "bad end" because the obvious ending I'd wanted didn't seem to exist. And judging by the dialogue and my character's maniacal grinning as she did the bad thing, it certainly seemed like I'd accidentally stumbled into a bad ending. I just kinda didn't care by that point. AND it doesn't seem to make any difference after the fact anyhow.

Honestly, when I was asked what I wanted to do with the suppository (yes, that is what I call them)... I wanted to say "I'll destroy it".
I mean logically speaking, the Keepers are completely fŭcking retarded. What kind of an utter moron would keep all this corrupt magic just locked up like buried treasure underground, waiting for someone to uncover it? And furthermore, what the hell were the trials supposed to test? "Oh great, you can solve puzzles. Now you may join us in sitting on the treasure FOREVER".

So then I got to the dialogue choice where I had to choose between "I'm going to sit on the treasure forever with the other ret4rds" and opening it up... well, neither really encapsulated my intent... but opening it up made more sense, which is to say a little bit, rather than none at all.
But THEN there was still no sane "I'll just destroy the power so nobody has to worry about it any more" option. Nope. Just the insane "I'll help everyone by eating their pain" option and the puppy-kicking evil "The power is MINE!" option. Well fŭck.
SO... given the choice between utter stupidity, utter insanity, and saturday morning cartoon villain... I went with insanity.

Not that I had her continue Morganach's work. She just ate the pain-glowies. Very tasty. And then did her O.W.Ls. I wasn't obligated to keep lobotomising people.

I'm honestly shocked that there wasn't an option to take Anne's pain away at the end... Sure you'd take her other emotions too, but... isn't that an obvious option by the end of the game?

Fig may be an expert wizard, but I think he's a bit clumsy... or at least he doesn't totally mind his surroundings while in a fight. It could have been the end of him even during the tutorial vs Ranrok and the chaos that started inside the vault. He only escapes with the protagonist at the last moment.
I'm wondering what subject he teaches, though, as they never explained that.
Might be muggle studies? Alchemy? Or maybe he's another DAtDA teacher...?
His classroom includes a little bit of everything, so it's kind of confusing taking a guess at his subject

Yes, Ronan teaches charms, but what does Fig teach? He's working with the ministry, but what's his primary subject at school?
I swear I'd have found it in no time, if I was a teen again with all that HP lore fresh in mind...

I figured that would be an option too. Or at least that there would be some sort of Ancient Magic solution... but apparently not. But then as far as the Seabass questline goes, it went in a rather stupid direction towards the end. Between Seabass himself deciding that unforgivable curses were the new First Resort for every problem (as if there aren't plenty of other spells for killing enemies with) and psychopath Solomon deciding to fixate on attacking me in the middle of a room full of Inferi (oh sure, ignore the undead and desperately try to murder that other student who is just trying to fix everything)... I'd pretty much had it with their entire stupid family and their idiotic problems.

New Canon Ending: My Ravenclaw girl having sloppy makeouts with Ominis Gaunt in the back of the Undercroft... and becoming the ancestor of Voldemort.

... Joking. Seriously. Just joking. I hate Ominis too.
