Can we talk post game?
Let me start by saying im on console. Loved the game.

So, am i in the minority thinking that post game is incredibly lacklustre once the story is done? I enjoy the world, the setting etc but the story is what carries this game through, not necessarily the game play. One minute you're going at 100 mph through the campaign then once it done, all you have left is just the focus on cleanup tasks like the room of requirement, Merlin trials, side quests and the like. I found it jarring.

You cant do more summoners court or any more duelling and with that being the case, i cant help but feel that the lack of things like wizards chess or quidditch really begins to show and becomes glaringly noticeable. I am coming at this from the vantage point of being an ardent witcher 3, elden ring and Skyrim fan. As much as i enjoyed my, albeit brief, time with Hogwarts legacy, im finding it incredibly difficult to not compare this to other games of its type that i keep returning to and as a result, i am really beginning to notice some very significant QOL failings. I mean heck, even your second lessons in Herbology and DADA are cutscenes, used as nothing more than an excuse to get you in a room to learn a new spell, nothing more than that. The common rooms are early game flavour and are NEVER utilised in a way that fits in with existing mechanics like the day and night cycle and speaking of the day and night cycle, it isnt utilised effectively. Its window dressing. Mini games are linear in that once they're done, they're done.

The entire world setting has quite literally given any prospective developer a huge range of potential features from which to draw upon and i cant help feel that despite my enjoyment of the game, as time goes on i can think of missed opportunity after missed opportunity. Villages have a couple of side quests, Outside of that, they're used as hiding places for pages and demiguise statues. It needs more than that. I want to roleplay, not box tick on an achievements menu.

This could have easily been one of these games, like the ones i mentioned above, where the main quest is secondary, and i thought it was one of those games! Yet it just grinds to a halt. Again, its jarring and despite my enjoyment i'll be honest, left a bit of a sour taste.

Enjoy your exclusive quest.

There is no post game. I collected everything before I did the last quest. After the credits roll I'm done.

What do you expect from a single player story driven game? There's soooo many of the same posts appearing here it's baffling. Search function is easy to use if you don't understand what kind of game you are playing. Why did you all buy the game to cry it's "too short" when it has 50+ hours of content even if you go fast? There are linear games that are done in 5 hours, yet this is now somewhat of an issue, you got spoiled by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games that have 300 hours worth of crap collectible farming.

It's actually some kind of Fallout, Skyrim, etc.
They have a sh*t ton of stuff to do, besides the (lol) main quest.

And I think many people want all this stuff like random generated quests, building, whatever (ofc this has to be something else for HL)

That's the problem with open world games: people want the world to be filled with stuff to do (no riddles and collectibles) ... and HL has nothing of that sort.

I mean we can talk about it, it's just not gonna change anything. I agree with everything you said but doesn't mean the devs are gonna do a thing about it.

Yeah, it's done. Not asking for changes, only others opinions in contrast to the glaring reviews
