I hate Merlin trials so much
So very, very much. Why are there like a billion of them? Didn't Merlin have more important things to do than make stupid trials every 15 feet with a stupid plant trellis popping up in rando places?! And it's the same exact thing EVERY TIME! If it was something different every time it might make it more exciting but it's not and I hate it.

The ones where you have to shoot the things real fast I skip, just too much time involved. Early on though, VERY important to do a bunch of them to get more slots for sales. Not sure when it maxes out. I do most of them anyway.

Why do people play games they don't enjoy?

Excuse you I DO enjoy the game, but I DON'T enjoy doing Merlin trials I want all the achievements so I have to do them, there are literally 800 of them! It's not ok, the developers should have realised how stupid and boring it would be! Talk about a damn grind my god!
Why would you do something you don't enjoy for a pointless achievement?

For a sense of Pride and Accomplishment. (Also, some people like gaining Steam XP.)

Then don't do them and end up selling all the gear you loot every 5 minutes because you don't want to do the work to expand your inventory.

I feel like I'm the only one who likes them.

Yes.

Merlin Trials are repetitive and boring as hell. If you've reached maximum storage slots you get nothing for finishing it. Except the useless achievement.

Most of this game is just busy work to be busy work. Merlin challenges, Moon squirrels or whatever they are, ancoent magic sites, etc. The Merlin challenges are ridiculous. "Merlin liked to test his slytherin colleagues" you mean to tell me that those were tests? Oh yeah, incredible test. I habe to jump over 5 platforms. Wow... My mental capacity is stretched to the brim here. What's that? I have to light three flaming pots in a short ammount of time? Wow... No wonder no one ever solved this in like 1000 years. Yeah no, incredibly hard ahead of their time challenges that are definitely not in game just to hinder our progression and maling inventory management a pain. What about baloon poppin? That will never get old when you have to do it for the 30th time. Oh, and how about we lock part of the game out unless you find these statues that glow in the night? That sounds like fun. Let's make the player have to collect 25 of them... I don't understand reviewers giving this game perfect scores. It is a great harry potter game but an average open World game at best. Ubisoft has better open worlds. Ubisoft...

I LOVE the merlin Trials. They are interesting and give me something to do. I am not actively trying to finish the game like a lot of people are. I am just playing the game for pure enjoyment, you should try it out :)
I advocate that Steam removes achievements completely so people dont feel so compelled to collect all these stupid pointless badges. It makes people crazy mad about completing games rather than enjoying them.

I honestly found the Depulso riddles far more challenging and entertaining.

And there were only around 3 and their shape always changed, so they kept giving.

Well then there are people who unlock all achievements for a game at the very same second. ^^

So their purpose is already quite lost.

Because reviewers gets paid so they can lie to you. Never ever buy a game because some reviewer in the internet recommends it. Go and check unknown reviewers first. They will mostly tell you the truth about the game.

Sites like IGN, Gamesradar, Gamespot is not a reliable source for any sort of gaming relative information as well. Even if the game sucks, they would still recommend it. All you have to do is give them some money.

Dont like it, dont do them. Instead of whining

And the number is 95. Not a billion, not 800.
You are the one forcing yourself to get all the achievements...
