Where is the engine.ini file?
I want to reduce the fog in the game, but I cannot find the engine.ini file.

According to a thread called "Remove Fog Fast/Easy - How To", it is supposed to be located at C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\HogwartsLegacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor but I can't find it. Or maybe I am not searching the right way.

Can somebody tell me how to get there step by step? I am not very good at this kind of things.

Thanks!

The Appdata folder is hidden, so you need to either replace "user" with your username and paste the path into an explorer window, or you need to enable hidden items if you want to navigate there.

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. At the toolbar at the top click File and make sure "Hidden Items" are checked

Make sure you make a backup copy of engine.ini before you make any adjustments to it.

This is not necessary. You can type "%appdata%" into the address bar and then back it up 2 folders to get to the Appdata folder. Then select Local and find the Hogwarts folder.

-Change [YourName] to your actual user name then copy the address below:

C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini

-Press the windows button on your keyboard and then R (windows + R) at the same time

-Paste the line you just copied and hit OK

It should open the engine.ini file in notepad
