The game loads the video card by 40-50%.
No errors, nothing help!
What i need to do?

Palit gaming pro 3080TI
Intel core i7-10700k

My 3080Ti doesnt get up to 100% aswell? Whats the problem?

Hmm, hard to tell actually. There are some areas in the game (Hogsmeade in particular, also some areas in Hogwarts) that are pretty CPU-intensive, but your CPU looks good enough to not bottleneck your GPU so massively. You're also clearly having enough RAM.

Is the RAM particularly slow? Are you playing from a mechanical hard drive, or from an SSD that is filled to the brim?

Which resolution are you playing at, what framerates are you getting, and what are your settings? Do you use an FPS cap and/or upscaling?

The problem is that the game produces 40-50 frames.
And this happens exactly after the prologue... when you get to Hogwarts itself.

For hardware, I have NVME Samsing EVO 970 or 980, I don’t remember exactly. And in general, the assembly is powerful. playing at 1440p

This is definitely a software error, since changing the settings does not affect at all :(

Are you playing with raytracing on, and if so, what happens to the framerate and general load on the card if you turn it off?

I capped mine at 75 FPS. And most times im getting it. It will drop sometimes. Got almost everything on Ultra setting. 3080Ti + I7 12700K also 1440P
Foulcher Mar 12, 2023 @ 11:00am
The game especially in crowded areas and with RT ON is really CPU bound
RTX 4090 and I9 9900k I had many drops and FPS on areas like Hogsmeade were really low (like 40-45)
Now sith 13900k those areas are grealy improved even if sometiimes it drops to 56-58 without GPU at 100%

The game is optimized like crap but of it is always like that you proably have an issue

Then, as I understand it, just pray and wait that God forbid they fix it)

It's just that the processor usually does not load at 30 and the card at 50. And there is always not even a hint of 75%

That is, these are not failures, but for some reason it just works by half!)

I am in a very similar situation 3090, I5 10600k @ 4.8GHz, 32Gb RAM. the load on both GPU and CPU is at about 50% and I get 40-60 FPS. I ahve enough memory, the game is on NVME SSD... I just dont get what the problem is.

In general, PC players, as always, with a bad port, cool)

I can't confirm it because I only have the one CPU, but I think the game does multithreading by simply splitting up jobs to different threads rather than actually balancing them. So when one job becomes much more taxing (like all the NPCs very close together in Hogsmeade or particle systems in big battles) that one thread holds everything else up.
I'm only judging that based on how my system performs though.

The game doesn't scale across cores very well, anything below 12th gens IPC will struggle with a high end GPU.

13700k and a 4090 and the GPU still drops to 80% in busy areas at 5120x1440. Lower resolutions trying to push high FPS will hit the CPU harder.
