I guess you've not run out of health. ;)
Is the fight taking very long, so that a time limit might trigger? I haven't noticed one in this quest myself, but I think I did win the duels pretty quickly.
Does the problem appear regardless of who you choose as your partner?
I have just done this and it was a nightmare at first so I hear you. There's another thread w ppl claiming it's a piece of cake - I assume they are on console or something, I'm playing on PC and was pulling my hair out after three tries, it seemed so imbalanced. This might be helpful:
- You need to move a lot more than you'd think. Rather than focusing on doing damage, prioritize movement and defense.
- Whenever you see the target on you cast Protego immediately. You can't allow anything to hit you, they do too much damage.
- They are much higher level (at least I did it as 8, they were 10+) so that's another reason this is hard.
- Use the objects in the room to knock them down. They break the shields as well.
- I ended up winning with this strategy: (1) prioritized Dodge and Protego/Stupefy (2) tried to levitate them as often as possible (3) hit them with an object when they were up in the air (4) moved/dodged/basic attacked in between.
Hope this helps! It takes a few tries, be patient with yourself. Good luck!
