MANUAL SAVE NOT AVAILABLE

I cannot manually save my game nor does it have any ability to auto save. The patch hasn't helped my save files load at all. Even started a new character and it says that manually saving is currently unavailable.

Edit: 3/11/23 FIXED!! The bug is directly related to the summoners court 4 bug. The quest would fail to load or be abandoned. Anytime you tired to abandon it would place you at the entrance to Hogwarts. At some point I was able to jump off the platform and fail the mission which allows you to retry and that is what allowed the game to load after the quest was completed.

Even on my original save with 78hrs manually saving was telling me it's unavailable. Also I created a new character and loaded my OG save file character. It worked to bring my stuff back but it still wouldn't let me save (manually or auto thru means of npc/quest/fast travel). I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and started a new character and got to the "ceremony" and still it wouldn't let me save. I promptly put my old save back in so I can have all my stuff but even then after restarting the game I could still not manually save. Or even auto saves. No save functionality at all.

Completed main quest and still having issues with auto saves not showing progress and manually saving not being an option at all.

Ok i am facing this issue now. I can't continue the quest or abandon it. Can't do anything now.

There are quests that lock you out of saving during the quest. Finish the quest, then save.

It's like a save scum protection. It's not a bug. One of the early quests do it too. When you first visit Hogsmead.

There's also places where if you save, it still puts you at the beginning of the quest you're on.

Example, hogsmead first trip. If you save after visiting Three Broomsticks, but before ending the quest it will return you to hogwarts when you load.

I have retried this quest easily 20 times and it still wont let me continue it or abandon it

I have also attempted to retry this quest multiple times to no avail and also can't retry or abandon. If I try to abandon I get a black screen but it sounds as if the game is still going and my character was transported to the front gate. I'm only on Summoner's Court 2 because I put this and the flying quests off till last. Pretty much everything else in this save is 100% or close and I don't want to lose it!

I truly dislike that. There should be a save opportunity right before getting in the hat.
There is no way i will sit through the whole long boring intro several times if i want to replay with other choices.
