failed to read file phoenix on launch? anyone else?

I have the same issue: "Failed to read file ../../../Phoenix/Phoenix.uproject"
It was working fine before the patch. No idea what to do.

Verify files. With things like this, always verify files first.

right click the game, select properties->local files->verify integrity of game files.

It also didn't work for me, try restarting pc and verify again and if it still doesn't work might have to reinstall game

I read for some people even reinstall didnt work. So pls tell me, if it worked for you.

So if you hit the verify like everyone else is doing you just wait and it will probably say something like three files unable to verify requiring. If you get that then try to find where it's downloading from you is on steam with like how it downloads games that format and I had the way like 11 minutes but it downloaded everything again and I just booted up and it works fine.

I hope that clarifies some.

Yeah that message means that one or more of your game files is missing or corrupt or the wrong version. Verifying files should sort that out. If it fails then I don't know what else to suggest, apart from a re-install.

I don't know if it will help but you could try comparing your game file sizes with the ones below. (Do a "dir" in a cmd window to get a listing like this.) If any are significantly smaller then maybe those didn't update properly. Here is my Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks folder:
