Catching Beasts keyboard?
Okay perhaps my dexterity on the keyboard is inadequate for this task. Previously played through the story okay.

Now on replay I figured the system difference in catching beasts requires the dreaded 'mashing' or perhaps damaging my keyboard being more likely and games like this I usually end up 'junking' or avoid as it seems to favour the console or playstation user.

Puffskein was easy and triple tapped F to get the jobberknoll okay but the mooncalf seems to require a long hold or more fast mashing for deeks quest.

My question is; Are they all different systematically per keyboard, or is their a valid quick tip that can assist?

You just press F when the circle is full as many times as it takes. It fills up on its own.

Make sure you cast a slow or levitating spell on them before you try to capture them.

Catching beasts is not complicated in any way. You simply wait for the prompt ( F for me) and press it. Use levioso to keep them stationary then use the bag. Some beasts take 5 prompts to catch and if they slip away use levioso again. I beat the game of M&K!

I'll answer my own question as running more tasks and easily capturing all the critters up to the Unicorn has occurred now anyway and it's easy to see that it is indeed a systematic use of the F key in sections of light blips and individual pressing not mashing or holding down which also varies with each beast or size mostly and also what I was posting about.

I think the two Unicorns I 'bagged' just after posting this query were each 6 lights or taps and I even was able to sustain some of the lights as I ran after them to complete the circle of lights. Simple but cleverly worked without that stupid mashing from many other games.
