i wasn't referring to the game be hard like the souls games. i was asking in a more general sense.
Nah. I enjoy the game for what it is, but not enough to even consider putting more time into it than I need.
I have done the Far Cry, AC, GR games before, and the fluff content in the game is not enough to make me want to stay in the world longer than I have to.
It has "soulslike combat" i guess, but I never really saw it that way. Then again, any game with lock on targeting and dodges can be called soulslike combat, but it misses on why souls games are beloved.
This holds your hand so much you literally don't have a single thing that wont give you a direction to go.
I would wait for a deep sale before purchasing. Its a mid tier RPG at best.
This, is about as accurate as it gets. Its got Ubisoft formula written all over it. If you cant stomach a shorter Ubisoft game released in the past 5-6 years, Pass or sale.
Played and Beaten DS1, DS3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring.
No its very bare bones and most of your fun would be had if your a big harry potter fan running in hogwarts.
Combat is fun but grows stale fast with the small selection of spells in game .
Like people said its a good looking assasins creed with wands.
Still not Souls-like, but an improvement in that direction, certainly.
Short answer: it does not.
This game is good and very enjoyable, but it's nowhere near to be a souls-like game. Don't go into it expecting it to give you the same feeling like souls-like games. It's more of a casual game, if compared to any Dark Souls Title or compared to Elden Ring.
It's still a very good game tho and does a very good job in delivering the feeling that you're a Student at Hogwarts, that you're in the Wizarding World.
The only caveats being that you have to play on Hard and you should probably play without healing (don't use wiggenweld potions). If you do that the challenge is in the souls ballpark.
