Hmmm. But i had already purchased those two before and use for something else i guess and they appear with 0 use left in my inventory. How could they still be locked then?

Flipside is that there's very little reason to. Gold seems to be more or less a convenience above all else. For the quests you should probably seek out the eye chests. If I'm not wrong there are 3 or 4 in Hogsmead alone, while plenty more in Hogwarts.
Make sure to activate the quest, and try buying them again and make sure to use the potions simultaneously.

Just sell all your gear except what you're wearing. The gear chests are everywhere.
