Forbidden names

Seriously, i can't take the name Temperance Peacock for my character because it has a forbidden word?!
I bought the game, it's not a multiplayer game, the choice of my name is decent (yes, no need to explain me why it was blocked, i got it) but the game doesn't allow me to use it.

I understand this choice for a MMORPG, but not for a solo game.

Are you seriously comparing the death penalty for coming out with extremely mild censorship to keep things PG13 (or whatever rating this game has)? Do you think your "struggle" with not being able to write "♥♥♥♥" without having it show up as hearts is the same as a gay person facing the death penalty for simply existing?

When your immediate comparison with extremely mild censorship is the death penalty for existing, yes, you are, in effect, saying they're the same (or at least similar enough that the comparison makes sense). Either that, or you don't think the comparison makes sense in the first place, but decided to make it anyway.

there are people who fought and died for many reasons. good bad glorious and evil. I didnt make them do that, and I didnt ask to be born nor do I have in any way to show respects to people I dont care about.

patriotism is respect and honor to ones country not worship of those who made the choice to kill other people.

also the death penalty for existing is not remotely similar to not being able to spell COC BALS AND PENS in a game meant for everyone kids and adults alike.

Nobody gets killed for "existing", people aren't reading your mind.

You get killed in some countries, for either saying you are gay which is considered offensive and a crime.
or for acting gay (like kissing a guy if you're a guy), which is considered the same.

you don't get killed for "existing" that makes no sense.

Absurd. In a strictly single-player game, I should be permitted to name my character whatever I choose, no matter how ridiculous or lewd.

There are save editor mods that exist on the Nexus. Perhaps name your character any old thing and then edit your save file to reflect the name you want? It's a shame you need to employ a workaround in a single player game, but I suppose it's a good thing there is an option at all?

Co- ck has multiple meanings, censoring a word because one meaning can be "NSFW" while the rest are normal is pretty dumb, and by censoring a succession of letters because it can used as world also reduce the possibility of creating longer words/names that are not realted to NSFW theme

Example: Knight was censored in some games because of a succession of three letters after the K, and became K***ht
For Legit names that can be censored because of such feature, you have names like Handcock for example

Oh I don't know anything about that, I'm going to RP a middle aged down on his luck guy that got his wizardly stuff (is that a thing? I have no idea what harry potter is besides some wizard crap) late in life and wants to start a frat that teaches these punk ass kids exactly what college is all about.
