Weird. I've not had a problem with it plugged in using USB. Have you updating all drivers?
Xbox One Controller
Driver date: 09/26/2022
Driver version: 10.0.22621.608
Signer: Microsoft Windows
Where are you seeing that? I don't see any Xbox Controller item under Device Manager. Went there to look for a driver update but instead ended up downloading/updating through the MS Store's "Accessories" app... Which, pretty sure only updates the firmware
Go to search --> device manager --> Xbox Peripherals --> Xbox One Controller --> Properties. You'll need to be an admin of your computer to change anything.
You might need to open all categories if you don't see it by itself. I work in IT so I'm used to all this and we don't use the MS Store for anything.
I just tested my game with Bluetooth and it's terrible. Going back to having it plugged in.
Yeah, I'm using the actual adapter dongle... not bluetooth. Tried with and without the cable, feels the same either way. Haven't tried bluetooth.
I am having the exact same problems with the game Spiderman Remastered on my rtx 4090 laptop, I notice these little hitches when panning the camera especially slowly around, have the issue with the xbox series x controller either plugged in or via bluetooth.
Did you ever find a solution to this issue?
I did! It had everything to do with refresh rate and vsync being out of whack. I ended up turning on adaptive vsync and it smoothed out. If the sync isn't perfect, I seem to get those stutters.
Update Xbox One control.
This step can be done on another computer, if necessary.
Get the Microsoft Windows 10 app by searching for "Xbox Accessories".
Launch the Xbox Accessories app.
Connect the Xbox One Wireless Controller using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
When the controller is connected, you will see the message "Update required" if there is a mandatory update. Install the update.
I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a nice day and stay safe.
