Win 11 + Xbox Controller Lag?
Just out of curiosity, is anyone playing this on a PC using an Xbox wireless controller? If I run my TV at 1080p @ 120Hz, it's nice and smooth, but if I bump the resolution to 2560x1440 it's super stuttery vs. the mouse/keyboard panning. It's especially noticeable if you slow-pan around a room or inside of a building. Any of you have general tuning fixes for using an Xbox controller on Windows 11 for gaming? Already updated the firmware via the MS "Xbox Accessories" app. Going to try a wired controller next. Also read that disabling Vsync helps, but then I get tearing. Seeing an average of 70ish FPS in this game on a 2080ti.

Are you using Bluetooth for this? I haven't tried myself as my Bluetooth headphones have an issue with my computer. The sound keeps stuttering.

Yeah it's the same for me, I had to get used to the keyboard controls because it was unplayable with a Controller. My controller is an Xbox one Series controller but its plugged in via USB, same issue as you.

Weird. I've not had a problem with it plugged in using USB. Have you updating all drivers?

Interesting. This is with the official Xbox adapter (wireless). Going to try wired here in a bit and I'll report back. I did update the drivers via the Accessories app yesterday, but still sucks.

Driver version: 10.0.22621.608
Signer: Microsoft Windows

Where are you seeing that? I don't see any Xbox Controller item under Device Manager. Went there to look for a driver update but instead ended up downloading/updating through the MS Store's "Accessories" app... Which, pretty sure only updates the firmware

Go to search --> device manager --> Xbox Peripherals --> Xbox One Controller --> Properties. You'll need to be an admin of your computer to change anything.

You might need to open all categories if you don't see it by itself. I work in IT so I'm used to all this and we don't use the MS Store for anything.

I just tested my game with Bluetooth and it's terrible. Going back to having it plugged in.

Yeah, I'm using the actual adapter dongle... not bluetooth. Tried with and without the cable, feels the same either way. Haven't tried bluetooth.

I am having the exact same problems with the game Spiderman Remastered on my rtx 4090 laptop, I notice these little hitches when panning the camera especially slowly around, have the issue with the xbox series x controller either plugged in or via bluetooth.

Did you ever find a solution to this issue?

I did! It had everything to do with refresh rate and vsync being out of whack. I ended up turning on adaptive vsync and it smoothed out. If the sync isn't perfect, I seem to get those stutters.

I solved it with that step:

Update Xbox One control.

This step can be done on another computer, if necessary.

Get the Microsoft Windows 10 app by searching for "Xbox Accessories".
Launch the Xbox Accessories app.
Connect the Xbox One Wireless Controller using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
When the controller is connected, you will see the message "Update required" if there is a mandatory update. Install the update.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a nice day and stay safe.
